I love this story. Couldn't tell you how many times I've read it, and am constantly amazed since the proportions really shouldn't work, you know? For as short as it is, they shouldn't manage to be so sweet, so warm, so loving and so right, but somehow you seem to nail all of them.
It's been years, so you're probably ready to re-visit this verse with a sequel ... right?
Thanks for all your wonderful writing, :) Gracie

Well, maybe after I manage to watch the movie again. I have issues with it. =)
I'm so glad you enjoyed the story! It's definitely one of the ones I've liked best after finishing it.

What a great story! I really liked the pairing, I hadn't seen that one before. I also liked that he wasn't thinking of it as a fling and that Buffy decided to let herself be happy. She does need someone she can be all of herself with. I also liked the nice relaxed way the revelations came out and that neither one of them overreacted.

Awww! That's so . . . COMFORTABLE. And comforting. I love the idea of Buffy and an ageless Rick coming together like this, and I totally buy Rick as the answer to an un-aging thrice-dead Slayer's dreams for a normal-ish lover and partner.
Brendan Fraser always seems like a very comfortable man to be around, no matter what role he's playing -- especially in the role of Rick, he can be action guy, and sexy as heck, not to mention wise-cracking and full of attitude, but he always seems like someone you comfortably curl up with at the end of the day and not feel weak or diminished in the process.
Darn, now I'll have to go and see that third movie, I guess!

Ahhh... Buffy/Mummy, my favorite under-written and under-reviewed crossover. This was very VERY nice. You're right, I've never seen this pairing before either, it worked surprisingly well.
^_^

The story is really great. It has a lot of potential and very much possible in Buffy-verse. It'd be such a lost for not continuing this wonderful one-shot. -_*
Should I bribe you to do so? Or maybe made you a guilt trip with my Buffy-like pout?
