I keep meaning to say how much I love these Jack-and-Tess chapters -- beautifully done, and fill in the gaps in a very satisfying way (I almost got misty at Tess telling Jack that he and his off-the-chart intuition belong in Eureka as much as anyone, and Jack's realization that he was more wanted and appreciated there than he'd ever been anywhere else).

Thank you. =) I ended up keeping the Jack/Tess mostly out of the last few tags as it's really not a popular pairing overall in the fandom, but I rather like their dynamic.
I really hope the success (or lack thereof) of Eastwick allows for JRN to bring Tess back in Season 4.

Joking aside, I liked this one. I've somehow become a quick fan of Jack/Tess, and was very happy with the not-CPR at the end of last week's episode. I'd always liked Jack/Alison, but Tess is much more . . . like him then Ali ever could be.
Perfect! I love the idea of Jack and Tess and the way you described the development of his feelings is very believable, i just hope the show's writers think similary to you.
