I had thought Dean let the whole Riley thing go too easily. This should be fun though so I can't wait for the next update!

Review of chapter "VI. Brotherly Concern" from kayron
Review:
Riley definitely has to be two or more years older than Buffy. He is Dr. Walsh's TA. He is also her commander of the Initiative commando teams. Even if he joined the military at 18 years old, it would have taken a few years before he could move into a command position. It's good that Dean wants to be protective of Buffy, but Sam is right. Buffy will flip if Dean messes things up for her.

Come to think of it, if Riley does a background check on the Winchesters, it could have interesting results. The checking and counter-checking could be funny... and I still think a devil's snare would work on Buffy (she's got a demon essence inside of her after all)---

Review:
LMAO!!!! World War 3?

Try World Wars 3, 4 AND 5 once the truth is known. Please tell me this is near the episode where the Scoobies fight the Gentlemen? That would be perfect for the Winchesters and Scoobies to find out about each other. Though I have suspicions that Giles might know more that he let's on and is letting them find out on their own.

I can just see Dean being all "Bleach Blonde Barbie is the Slayer?! She isn 't 80 lbs soaking wet how can she fight off a vampire let alone a demon?"

And yes, you have my permission to use the quote. LOL.

Review of chapter "V. Some Brotherly Advice" from clarityfades
Review:
FYI, Riley was a sophomore or junior (I'm not sure which)...not a freshman like Buffy & Willow. THAT'S how he could be a T.A. (teacher's assistant) for their intro to psych class...you don't T.A. as a freshman.

Review:
I love you story. I'm pretty sure Riley is older than Buffy because for one thing he's a TA and he is in the initative. To be a TA I'm pretty sure you have to have already taken the course. Not only is he in the initiative, but he is the leader of one of the teams and though he was probably recruited out of high school, he would need time to train and he would have to go to a army school of some kind before being put on a team much less incharge of one.

Review of chapter "V. Some Brotherly Advice" from (Past Donor)Mari
Review:
I like the relationship you're developing between Buffy and the boys--snotty and friendly, which is probably a reasonable take on that.

As for Riley's age, TA's are usually graduate students. That would most likely make him at least 4 years older than Buffy. In addition, in the scenes we see of him in the Iniative, he seems to be higher up the food chain. Usually, that means they've got a few years in the military service--and at least a bachelors, possibly a masters degree. Honestly, I'd put him between 6 and 10 years older than Buffy. However, it's okay to AU and make him a freshman. If you want to keep the Iniative thing, think about making him an OTA student.

Review of chapter "V. Some Brotherly Advice" from WhiteWolf
Review:
Riley was definitely older. He was a TA. I think you have to be in third or fourth year of college to become a TA.

He also had finished 'Ranger School' or something like that, so that at least would take two years after high school, probably more. He was second in command of the Project in Sunnydale. So a Lieutenant is too low a rank, I think he should be at least a Major. So, he could be ten years older. Now that I think about it Riley was on cover operation. His name might not be even Riley Finn. But this is only if you follow reality rules. So I think canon is probably two to six years older. But definitely older.

Review:
Riley is at least a few years older --note in S4 he's a TA --teaching assistant, helping Prof. Walsh. That means he was a grad student., 21 yrs old or older, probably----no big deal, you can always just say he's the same age for this story.
I like the situation where the hunters & slayer's group haven't twigged to each other yet--

Review:
Truthfully, Riley was an upperclassman maybe even graduate student when he was TA for Walsh in the series. So he was at least 2-4 yrs older than Buffy. Loved how Buffy, Willow and Sam ganged up on Dean. And can't wait to see what happens when the truth about Sunnydale, Buffy and the Scoobies comes out to light.

Looks like John and Joyce are gonna have some 'splainin' to do. LOL

Review of chapter "IV. Momentary Truce" from immortalwizardelffan
Review:
Just thought of something *grins*

When Sam goes off on his whole "I'm going to college" kick... he can use Riley, Buffy, Willow and Tara to prove that he can also go to college AND hunt.
Comments from author:
Thanks for the idea. I'll keep that in mind. :)

Review:
funny---though when the truth comes out, Joyce/John might be feeling some strain in the relationship (being lied to etc) ...
And Sam/Dean / John have a lot of misinformation about vamps--dead man's blood kills 'em etc; ie different type of demon...
Still, they're great at dealing with incorporeal evil (who knows maybe they could help with the First Evil someday). Joyce told Giles? Ouch! Just like in Season 3---
Hm---if they find out Oz is a werewolf... based on the show, they think that means they HAVE to kill him, since they 'know' werewolves can't control themselves and go all evil and stuff--
Comments from author:
Oz's werewolf-ness is just one of the many things that will test this "momentary" truce between Buffy and Dean. It will soon be unravelled and we'll see how the adults will deal with the truth once it comes out and can't keep the Hellmouth from being "public knowledge" as far as the Winchesters are concerned. :)
