Ooh, I love how you're dealing with the Marvel "timeline". As I told becuzitswrong for his Marvel fic "Buffy's Hammer", it really is quite fuzzy, and which year any given storyline is set in is just blowin' in the wind... :)

BTW, "The Gift" was in May 2001, firmly in the 21st century. :)

Man, I looked up Joyce's lifespan before I posted the chapter to check her birthdate, but the death date didn't click until a half-hour later in the middle of Latin class... Oh well.

Thanks :D

An intersting mystery and cool place for Buffy to be the young woman she is.. and see how that could effect reality. Retroactive continuity/sliding timescale problems of comics anyone?

Review:
ah, she's in a comic book universe where it's always "now" and after 250 issues, Peter Parker is only 1 year older. or something weird like that?
So.... does she still have slayer strength etc and is only 'living as' a normal girl, or is she actually a normal girl?
Comments from author:
Exactly, and to the people inside the comic, it's normal, or at least lampshaded. DC offsets some of the effect by resetting continuity/reality every dozen years, but Marvel's allegedly a single timeline...

I'm saying she's a physically normal girl with skills and muscle memory better suited to a Slayer, so she'll have to retrain to account for the lack of strength and coordination... So if she was a black-belt martial artist before, she's a yellow/orange-belt now, or will be once she adapts to her new state... I may adjust that later, but that's the general idea :)
