What would have happen if that rogue alien had abducted Xander and took him to another planet far from Earth? There is no way the Scoobies could have tracked and saved Xander then.
Comments from author:
You're probably right, since I doubt that Wilow is powerful enough to teleport herself, let alone others, across inter-galactic distances.
Of course, for all we know about portals, simply opening one might be the hardest part, and the distances involved are immaterial. That's a point I hadn 't considered when writing, and haven't come to a decision regarding yet, once you raised the question.

oh my ... what a surprising adventure ... with unexpected happenings ... great story ^_^
Comments from author:
Getting both SG-1 and the Scoobies together is a sure-fire recipe for 'unexpected happenings' to show up. Much to both Giles' and Hammond's regret. ;-)

I love this story and wanna ask...will you be writing a sequel?
Comments from author:
Glad you enjoyed the story. The next chapter is partially written but as I've noted previously, my muse is gone and I'm waiting on her return to finish it up.

Hey you ever think of writing a sequal to this story?
Comments from author:
As it happens, I'm currently trying to work through the next part of this series, but I have several other projects I have committed my time to which must take precedence.
Hopefully, I'll be able to get to it fairly soon.

I was just rereading all your stories (which I thoroughly enjoyed!) and had some quick questions on this one (besides wondering how you'll resolve the Pegasus Atlantis with this one on Earth).
1) Was the 2nd story you mentioned ever posted?
2) I got the impression when Loki was talking to Xander that he was one of at LEAST two Loki had implanted, and that Xander was younger than the other(s) since his "zygote" was in stasis for a while. Since I'm assuming they'd all have a strong expression of the Ancient gene, does this mean that we're going to see Jack O'Neill, Macgyver, John Sheppard, etc. turn out to be Xander's twin/triplet/sibling?
3) Since Bran is still active and the base seems intact with no mention of power trouble, does Bran have a method of creating/recharging ZPM's on site? His references about force fields, relocating, etc., without any qualifiers, implies that he would have no trouble or lack of power to do any of that.
Comments from author:
First off, thanks for reviewing and commenting.
The other story I mentioned is still only partially written, since my muse got distracted by some other pretty sparkly things and wandered off a little while ago. Not to worry, though, it's still active.
The other sibling Loki mentioned to Xander will remain unidentified at the moment, since he wont be showing up in the subsequent story. I'm thinking that him meeting Xander is going to be a separate, quite short story/stories of its/their own. (See how I cleverly avoided answering your question concerning whether there might be more than one sibling? ;-) )
I'm going to have to avoid answering your third question at this time, since that will probably end up impacting a future plotline.

Had to re-read this, after catching up with a couple of your other stories, and something else made an impression on me... just which "Dr. Crane" is being exposed to the various levels of PTSD and what most other shrinks would consider totally bizarre hallucinations and complete psychological breakdowns?
Personally, I think Frasier couldn't handle it, but Niles? Yeah, I can see Niles being recruited by the new Council to assist with Slayer psycho-emotional difficulties.
Happy to see the new Council is actually helping its Slayers get the mental-health assistance they need.
Comments from author:
That's an excellent question you've asked, and I have to say that I really haven't decided which one is the lucky man yet. ;-)
Although contrary to your opinion, I think that either Frasier or Niles would be able to adjust to the new reality they would discover once the true facts of life are revealed to them. I will say, though, that I'm leaning more towards Niles, mostly because I've already seen Frasier featured in another story as the resident Council shrink.
Anyway, glad you enjoyed the story.

OH MY! Well, for one thing, it was pretty obvious who Jack was going to meet at that little conference, but Thor's little revelation about the Ancients made it a very interesting coincidence that Xander just "happened" to be the first human (i.e., Anqueeta) to be transported to the Atlantis facility...
Seeing as how humans are all, according to Thor, descended from the Anqueeta who departed, and it is *Xander* who is now in charge of Atlantis, instead of say, Jack, for instance, oh the possibilities! Between the Scoobies and SG-1, Kinsey won't know what hit him!
Looking forward to more, as your refreshed and rejuvenated Muse and RL permit...

Thanks. Have a general outline for the next story. Just have to find the time to write it. ;-)
