It's Warrick Brown not Warren, and Dawn wouldn't have existed yet. Your story is way off on the time line too the magic Halloween happened in the mid nineties and the game/csi talking about didn't come out till 2000 and 2001.

Yes, you are right - my timeline is off. Since I wanted those characters to be able to interact I wrote this as an AU. I liked the idea that the monks gave everyone memories as if Dawn had always been there - so I ran with the idea and just had Dawn show up earlier. ('Sides, you can't have a Cheshire Cat without Alice and I couldn't see Buffy in that role.)

The kidnappings and Drucilla's interventions were fun, but I'd would have loved to see more of the Xander Cat.

Could have lived without J, but it definitely makes for an interesting mental landscape.

The potential for chaos. Poor Ethan he's gonna miss all the fun. Of course that's probably better for him than Xander's alternative.

The setting, the ideas, and the execution were absolutely fantastic.
I really liked your characterization of a Cheshire Xander. It was appropriately dark and twisted but not to the absolute extreme.
