Sigh cant comment on your comment so I am adding another review. Morocco does have some terrorist activity but the government does a decent job of breaking up the cells that are found. Justice is swift and not very merciful there. Though Morocco is an Arab/Moslem nation it is not a Middle Eastern country. It is located in North Africa.
I admit I am somewhat biased since my hubby is from Morocco and I have visited several times just returning from my latest trip in July.

^.^ You can always edit your previous review and add the new comment underneath the old one. That's what I do.
I recognize the indignation - I have a personal pet peeve about Taiwan and mainland China and woe betide to those who mix the two in front of me! Honestly, I know where you're coming from. :D It's cool. If it makes you feel better, I will add a little extra author's note to the end? I don't want to offend, and it's really no problem at all.

I'm not sure I agree that Xander *was* coldblooded (as another reviewer stated) but I can see him becoming so (to an extent) after Anya's death and his experiences with various specimens of "humanity" in Africa. It's a bit difficult to judge what would be in or out of character for him at this point, but I'm not surprised that his white-knight reflexes survived. I would like to see a followup, but then I always do. ;)

Thanks. I always have difficulty judging how much the characters would have grown outside the series (I'm not well-versed in the comic season 8, even if it is canon). There probably won't be a follow-up, but I appreciate the sentiment.

I have few issues with the setting however. Morocco is not a hotbed of terrorist activity. There has been one major attack well it was a dual attack in Casablanca in 2003. There is no ennui of the people there, expecting that type of attack. Any Arab country has the potential to be dangerous to Western tourists, but Morocco has had far fewer incidences than other Arab countries.

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it.
I know Morocco isn't exactly Iraq, in terms of terrorist activity, and I appreciate you pointing it out for me. In the movie, the locals of Tangier looked a little stunned at the explosion, but then again, who wouldn't? I recently visited Israel, which probably colored my writing a bit. There, it's not unusual to see random people (usually IDF, or guards) carrying automatic weapons nonchalantly around the marketplace or in a kosher McDonald's. So I'll admit that my story is tainted with the Western bias against the Middle East (zomg! Terroristz!!!) as well as my recent experiences in the region. (Although calling Morocco the "Middle" East, is stretching the description a bit, but that's another argument for another time.) I appreciate the criticism!

I liked your story and thought you did a good job with Xander's character. Xander was the most cold-blooded of the Scoobies after all. Well, except for Ripper.

Thanks. I'm glad you liked the characterization.

That was sooo very good. I'd love to see this continued. Their run ins with all three of them could continue to be rather amusing. And I love the Tuesday line, very cool.
Comments from author:
I seem to use the Tuesday line quite a bit. I don't think there'll be a continuation though. Glad you liked it!

A lovely little story. You really don't need the explanatory note at the end- it's clear Xander would help. I would love if Xander and Nicky were to cross paths again at some point, but if the spirit doesn't move you, this also stands nicely on its own. :)

I'm glad you liked it. The explanation at the bottom was written half-way through the editing process (a habit of mine, so I'll remember my motivation and thought-processes for what I write) and I never got around to editing it before I posted it. I don't think there will be a continuation - I can't see their paths crossing again. I barely got them to do so in the first place. ^.^
