"The Doctor’s brought a bunch of inquisitive engineers, pilots, and thieves from the Lost Age onboard a TARDIS. He could feel Romana glaring at him from atoms scattered across space and time."
LOL!
Oh, i do like this. And I've seen the River-is-a-Slayer thing before, but this is a great take on it.

Very good so far. You use the movie pretty good and the insertion of the DW group is appropriate. Not sure yet how I feel about the Slayer thing but I can see the plus side of it and how it can be used to enrich the story and create a nice (and now necessary) bond between the two Slayers. I for one would like very much if you continued it.
Comments from author:
I'd like if I continued it to, but I haven't done much but stare at a blinking cursor on this one for awhile. Why do the words come at some times but not at others? I never know.

Is it weird that the first thing that pops to my mind for a review is 'poor Jack, he's never going to get laid'? Either way, apart from that I love this series. The first two made me almost cry. I'm not that familiar with the Dr. Who universe, but the way your writing this, it doesn't matter. I get sucked in and don't care that half the characters and most of the details are unfamiliar.
Comments from author:
That's quite the compliment. Thank you for reviewing.
I'm a little slow on the uptake. Turns out I don't have this story on alert, so I didn't know you put this up already. Anywhoo, great job as always! I'm glad you're still writing Ten/Buffy. I'm still working on being a better beta for you.

Fantastic chappies! I liked seeing what both sides are doing, & you're incorporating the Doctor, Buffy, & Jack into the movie beautifully. Love the way Buffy helped River, & Simon's realization of about Buffy & the Doctor. & Inara w/ Jack & Mal cracked me up a bit.

I'm happy to see an update to this story! I love that Buffy and the Doctor are still holding hands. I also like the way the communicate without words. I can't wait to read more of this story, I hope you update again soon.

Review of chapter "Chapter Thirteen" from draconis
Review:
Definitely like the stories, but I think I'm reading them in the wrong order.
Can you please either confirm or correct the story sequencing?
I'm confused by the "series list". For example, it shows that "Better With Two" is #5 in the series, but in the BWT summary it says that BWT is the sequel to #1 "Another Side of the Sky". And, where exactly does the "probationary" story "The Lost Age" fit in the sequence of 5 stories?
Comments from author:
It is kind of confusing. The order that the stories are currently in is roughly chronological BWT is considered the sequel because all of the other stories occur during Another Side, mostly during the sixty year gap between chapter three and four. So, if I take apart the Time Flies drabble series and separate it into stories, indicated by a *, here is the exact timeline.
Another Side of the Sky Chapter 1 (sections one and two) First Night* Another Side of the Sky Chapter 1 (remainder) Dinner Time Conversation* Another Side of the Sky Chapter 2 Ten More Minutes* Buffy and Jack* Jack and Buffy* Dust And Echoes* Another Side of the Sky Chapter 3 (first section) Pillow Talk* Cultural Diversity* Another Side of the Sky Chapter 3 (remainder) Hands Pts 1* & 2* The Rod of Asclepius Alive Again* The Lost Age Leaving* Greys* Thief of Time* Another Side of the Sky Chapter 4 Better With Two
Hope that helps.

If nothing else, your explanation for HOW "Firefly" ties into the Doctor's universe makes perfect sense, with the whole concept of "The Lost Age" sounding VERY interesting, and the hints about River's future suggesting at a very intriguing future for her.
Plus, of course, everyone's reaction to Jack's immortality so far has been VERY amusing to read, and the Operative's train of thought about the TARDIS crew's presence in events here was very well laid-out while managing to create an almost disturbingly accurate picture of what his mentality's like.
And as for Buffy's relationship with River...
Rather moving in its way, to say the least; after so long alone in this universe- even with the Doctor-, she's finally found someone who she can understand more than almost anyone else can.
Keep up the good work!

Review:
Oh, this is so GOOD! I do hope you'll be able to continue one day, since I'm loving this particular 'Serenity' replay, with the wonderful addition of the Doctor, Buffy, and Jack. If it wouldn't be too much trouble, could Wash and Book both make it out alive this time around? (Or if that's too much, at least Wash? After all, Jack did sort of promise Zoe on that score!)
Meanwhile, my favorite line from this chapter has to be Mal's explanation for why he's not going to give up River to the Operative, ending with “...’Course, that doesn’t sound too terribly manly of me. So, really, it’s the principle of the thing...."

Review:
This is not an action movie. These are not the Reavers you're looking for. *g* I love Firefly/DW crossovers, and hope you update this one soon! I want to find out what's on Miranda (since I never saw the movie) and how the Operative's organization fits in with River and her Slayerness.
