Review of chapter "Chapter Five" from Sraya
Review:
Loving this story... really enjoying that Buffies love life is for once a soft place for her, that she can stand up to her friends and be confident in herself and choices. I still hate all her to judgmental friends who think that their opinion is the only opinion..plus great story

Review:
Hi. I'm enjoying your storytelling and world-building overall. Wondering, wouldn't Harry have to stay with Buffy for a few weeks before going to the Weasley's or is he blood protected already from spending most of the year with her? Last but not least - Buffy's emotional attachment to Giles, Joyce and Willow... is there some correspondence that you haven't told us about, or is there a whole danger and secret identity thing going on with her cutting off all ties? In part because the hellmouth is a dangerous place, too?
Comments from author:
Thank you. I have to say I'm very much enjoying your reviews. :) Harry and Buffy are going to be staying together for the summer... where he goes, she will follow. I haven't completely forgotten about the Sunnydale people, and they will be mentioned again later. Buffy started over. Giles and Joyce started a whole new life without her, and Buffy focused on finding her way with her new brother, his friends and her boyfriend, and while she undoubtedly missed them, she more or less let go of the ties, because it was the easiest, and least painful thing to do.

Review:
Certainly an unusual but consistant use of Buffy's "slayer" personality as uber-protector, rather than needing to hurt or damage. The influence of Hogwarts magic versus that of the Hellmouth.
Comments from author:
I didn't even think about that. :) Although while Buffy has always been a fan of violence being a easy solution, I have always seen her as more of a protector... which is part of what makes her so different than previous slayers, so it's not entirely surprising, but it's cool that you got that from the chapter, when all I remember thinking about at the time was 'must solve fight without Sirus falling through a curtain.'

Review:
I really like this AU element... it probably is just as important as Draco changing houses and having some positive moments in his new common room.
Comments from author:
Thank you. I wanted to show a bit of brother sister bonding, because a lot of that had been happening behind the scenes.

Review:
Only that you would think that they would have more of a "petting" and "third base" stage before thinking from kissing and hand-holding to "go all the way."
Comments from author:
A lot of that was off camera. As for some of it, it's all happening fairly swiftly; they are caught up in a highly charmed teenage love, that for both of them marks the first real connection to anyone that isn't family.

Review:
I am a little confused that now Harry knew about Buffy not having an account... why he couldn't arrange at the bank. Unless she really isn't legally Miss Potter at all... even though she has been called that in public?
Comments from author:
There hasn't been time between when he found out and this chapter for Harry to go to Gringotts. She is Miss Potter though.

Review of chapter "Chapter Eight" from VillageOrchid
Review:
Cool chapter.... I would have also have liked to have seen more time dramatized in-between, I must say. But this was a very good chapter. And I would have to say that as the head of the Potter family, perhaps Dumbles thought that someone would have told Harry to open an account for her.
Comments from author:
Thanks. As for the account no one really thought about it. Dumbledore does have the whole school to manage.

Review of chapter "Chapter Six" from VillageOrchid
Review:
I've enjoyed how you have developed both the romance and the physicality over the last few chapters, while keeping tabs on the friendship and rivalries in the plot... and touching on the problem that is Umbridge. Though I am guessing with Malfoy as minister there isn't a directive for her to take over the school as much as watch and effect it.
Comments from author:
Thank you. Originally I worried that the Buffy/Draco thing would be too much, but people seemed okay with it. Umbridge, I fairly ignored. Malfoy is really too busy planning to kill them all, and how to do that on a grand scale, to think about sending one woman to annoy them. Fudge was petty, and small minded, but he wasn't evil. Basically, to me, Umbridge isn't' evil enough for Malfoy to use.

Review of chapter "Chapter Four" from VillageOrchid
Review:
Okay, I'll bite.. why aren't they being a little more exploratory... physically. Is it an intimacy issue that they both reasonably have?
Comments from author:
A bit. Actually, for the two of them, that is a very intimate thing... trusting each other enough to fall asleep in the others presence. They're still very young... and working their way gradually towards what you're expecting.

Review of chapter "Chapter Three" from VillageOrchid
Review:
Very good chapter for the payoff of what you've set up with both characterization and plot. It is good that Dumbles trusts Buffy enough to tell her that this change in the minister of magic happened 2 months ago...or is Malfoy pretending to be Fudge, living a double life?
Comments from author:
Thank you! Malfoy actually managed to get himself elected, in the wake of Fudges death.

Review of chapter "Chapter Two" from VillageOrchid
Review:
It is almost like Ron and Hermione are under some kind of compulsion like the people forgetting that Ben was Glory... because weren't they taken aback from the conversation with Dumbles. They were there...
Comments from author:
Sometimes when people do stupid selfish things, they don't even realize that they are doing it. They hadn't put their actions and the consequences of their actions together, and realized exactly how badly they had screwed. Basically typical teenage thinking.

Review of chapter "Chapter One" from VillageOrchid
Review:
This is interesting. Teenagers, you can expect this to perhaps happen. I guess in a society where you come into your power at 11, it can be hard to become "mature" because nothing can force you to grow up. Snape had this problem, and I can see that the Weasley adults to too and brought it down to their children. Honestly, cannon-Dumbles doesn't seem to be this insightful and pro-active, but I am glad he is in your universe.
Comments from author:
Dubledore balances out the ignorance from Weasleys and co. Glad you thought it worked.

The fact that there IS a part 3 at all is making me all kinds of happy! I really thought this chapter was a great way to close this portion of the story. It gave us enough closure while still managing to keep us wanting more. Can't wait for part #, no matter how long it takes you to get that sucker out, lol! Until next time...Bye-4-now!
Comments from author:
Part three... is now started. Looks like it might not be as long as I expected. Thanks for the encouragement :)
