Decent story. Just a tiny bit less 'good' than your other stories, which generally range from very good to excellent.
DEFINITELY hoping you haven't abandoned ALL your stories/series. Would be a loss.
Looking forward to more, and I'm now tracking your work.
No author tthfanfic activity since Nov2010, but the 2010 update to your 'Revelations of Darkness' story at least offers the possibility that you haven't given up.

Excellent, excellent work. You've fitted Buffy and Tara into the movie perfectly. If it wasn't 3 o'clock in the morning I'd write more. But I need sleep and your story has abruptly ended for the time being. So until you write more nifty story, I'll say good night. Lol!

great chapter. was that the slayer part of Buffy fighting the t-virus? (I guess I have to go back and read - I did not see the last few updates to this).
"How could I know that Willow would actually cast the spell? I mean it took an entire clan of gypsies to curse Angel last time and Willow could just levitate a pencil. Not exactly a ringing endorsement of magical power here!"
I think Giles would at least have considered Xander's argument here, that he had a valid point. Instead he just brushed over it by saying that it isn't about Willow. If Xander genuinely didn't believe that Willow couldn't cast the spell, he isn't as much to blame as if he ONLY wanted to see Angel(us) dead. I'm not saying that the last part didn't play a part in Xander's decision, but it probably wasn't his only reason. I just think Giles was unnecessarily harsh on him in this chapter.
Also, I don't understand the dynamics between Faith and the Scoobies, especially how Xander turns from not trusting her from comparing her favorably to Buffy. And Faith's reaction is a bit too much for something that sounded like a compliment. I have to agree with Xander that she attacked him for no reason, as far as he knew.
How long has Faith been in Sunnydale, and had she arrived when she shared the first dream with Buffy? Why did she end up living with Mrs. Summers?
Comments from author:
Carojen, I'll agree that Giles was harsh with Xander, but not over-the-top. Also, the concern Giles had was the fact Xander has NEVER been anything but critical of anything "not human" that he didn't regard as "harmless to humans" and especially of Angel.
As to Xander, I have to disagree with you. Xander, (in this story) *did* want Angelus dead and the excuse that "willow can barely levitate a pencil" wasn't a good one because Buffy needed to know about what Willow was going to try and do, irregardless of Xander's *estimates* of Willow strength with magic. So while Xander might have had more "noble" reasons for his descision, they weren't his primary "desire", they made easier for him to justify his actions. Don't misunderstand about what you've read about Xander however, I'm not going to make him a whipping boy where everyone slaps him around and hating him for the rest of the story.
Mrs. Summers actions can be easily explained for three reasons; One, She just lost Buffy because she threw her out of the house after being told Buffy told her that she was a Vampire Slayer and Joyce just couldn't accept that. Joyce is a woman that's already had one child gone, so she fastened on Faith as a way to make up for her failure to SEE what her daughter was going through night after night. Two, a direct result of one, do you REALLY think Joyce would leave Faith (who's about the same age as buffy give or take), in a place that's a deathtrap by vampire? And Three, by staying under Joyce's roof, Faith insures her "sister"'s mother stays alive.
As for the Xander/Faith dynamic, he decided to make nice since she seemed to be on the level since her arrival. Her reaction was a bit over the top, but to Faith, his betrayal of her "sister-kin" was intolerable. the only reason she didn't kill him on sight was due to her wanting to let Buffy have the honors. It was his wake-up call that his dirty little secret wasn't secret enough.
Thank you very much for you questions, thoughts and your review. They were greatly appreciated and your thoughts on the story were welcome.
It's been a long time since the last update, but worth the wait. I'm glad Alice and Buffy are together, although Tara's misunderstanding of their relationship was cute. I hope to see more of the WC's combat team in future chapters, they are truly impressive.

Tara's compassion is unexpected and may save the humans after all. Hope she can help Alice and Buffy with whats going on inside them. Looking forward to Umbrella meeting their fate.
