Nice work Rommy did on Homebase 2, but why Asgard as Enemies? Goa'uld I could
understand and now we have Faith in the story *g*.

Another great update. I look forward to seeing the next one. Looks like Xander in this story is closer to having his own ship than your Master of Forbidden Seal story.

I like both stories and hope you will continue to update both.

I'm not surprised that Rommie regards the Materia as semi-sentient.

Materia are solidifcations of the power of the Lifestream. This is why tuned Mako reactors made starters for utility Materia while unique ones came about in distant parts of the Final Fantasy Seven world.

The Lifestream being the river of souls and essence of life, any concentration of its energies would have a life of its own, however static in form.

One does, naturally, wonder exactly what Rommie made of a bar with a "terrorist" hideout in the basement..

:D yeah I always thought Materia are semi alive since they are created from the life stream. :p As for 7th Heaven? well that depends on which 7th Heaven is in the home base 2. During the FFVII timeline, 7th Heaven was a "terrorist" hideout, I am not sure if Tiffa and the other's still store wepaons and bombs in the bar after the events of Final Fantasy Advert Children though. I was under the impression that Tiffa started taking in orphans, so most likely she wouldn't be letting weapons lie around.

Finally a story that doesn't feel the need to off Kendra so they can bring in Faith. I think a human Faith, even with some powers, will be a much more interesting character.

yeah, I was coming up with ways to include Faith and maybe Vi + the other potentials into the storyline without killing the current Slayers. In the end this is the only way I could come up with. Two Slayers + a lot more Charmed Potentials, who might become Slayers one day :p Add in Xander, Buffy and Willow, this is going to end up with a very powerful Charmed Circle.

Cool, although I don't understand how Xander reintegrating his chaos magic-imprinted soulshards would effect people touching him. Makes no sense what so ever, except as a cheap plot device (it was caused by chaos magic that did it!) to spread the abilities...

Cool fic though. Good point about incompatible technology due to differences in the natural laws of the various universes.

I was a bit pissed that people forgave Buffy for almost killing them all though - they had warned her, they tried to warn her again, simple logic and common sense states "do not attempt to engage FTL in a pocket universe the size of a small city"... And if they had been lost, well, Xander might've lived on as a spirit even as Buffy, Cordelia and Giles were scattered throughout the Void Between Worlds, while Willow and Rommie would've died of old age, trapped in a pocket dimension with no way out...

:p yeah it was a bit of a plot device, basically I try to explain it away as Xander's split up souls becoming an individual power, so when he integrate them, they generate a field of energy around him to change him. That's why other's near him are similarly affected... a bit lame :p but well it's just another of those plot devices I come up with to roll the story along. Otherwise, Xander will end up uber-power beside the rest of his powerless companions.

Yeah and the forgiving Buffy part, I figure that since this took place in Season 2, Xander's crush on Buffy might caused him to give her some leeway, though Giles and Cordelia might be the only ones a bit hard on her, one being an adult, while the other tends to be blunt. Anyway thanks for your review :D
