Review of chapter "True Friend" from LordSia
Review:
It's a good start, you're going a bit over the top to weave in crossovers and cameos, but all in all very good. Though I think the original had a better feel, yours is by no means bad.
Pity you've abandoned it...

I had liked the omakes for this so I'm happy to see that someone is writing an actual story for it. You're doing a good job and I'm definitely looking forward to seeing where you're going to go with it.

Very good start has a lot of potential please update soon.
Comments from author:
I would, but I have trapped myself in the new chapter. I'm hoping to have it updated within the week, but don't hold me to it.

Review of chapter "True Friend" from SlickRCBD
Review:
Well, I have a criticism. If Ms. Turner realized he was being abused AND was so important to Scotland Yard and the police, why didn't she get Harry removed from the Dursleys? Especially when Harry had no love or attachment to them? Unless you have Dumbledore meddling, it just doesn't make sense. She could even say that the whole incident happened BECAUSE of the Dursleys, and removing Harry from them and putting him in a loving, supportive and nourishing environment is the best way to prevent him from repeating The Incident with his own family.
Comments from author:
Harry wasn't abused enough for it to be called abuse. After the Incident the Dursleys male's are scared witless, so settle on ignoring him.

Review of chapter "True Friend" from (Current Donor)dogbertcarroll
Review:
You are trying to tie too many crossovers in together, it weakens the story.
Comments from author:
For this story, those crossovers will remain in the background. I am going to do a side story were Harry goes to vist one of them. But for now it's just an idea.

Review of chapter "True Friend" from ChiVayne
Review:
So if Harry makes friends, it will probably be with one of his house mates. From Gryffindor, I'd expect that this Harry would be more likely to make friends with Neville than with Ron. Hermione could go either way, but he wouldn't see much of either Neville or her since they will be in different houses.

Review of chapter "True Friend" from AllenPitt
Review:
hm... doubt he'll be applying to the quidditch team. Or getting sorted into Gryffindor. He's really big on loyalty and justice , so Hufflepuff would 'fit'. Though not so much on the hard work part.
Might be funny if he could stop Voldy from getting the Stone, but it'd be too troublesome to bother. Or, he figures Quirrell is behind it, and just kills him when nobody's looking....

Review:
I hope all those "stories" about Miss Turner's family stay in the background. Too many crossovers can bury the plot line, but can be fun if only mentioned in passing during the story.

I really like that Harry has a shrink. Can't wait till he gets to school.

If Harry is put in Hufflepuff, can Neville join him?
If I remember correctly, Neville was a toss up between Hufflepuff & Gryffindor.

Review of chapter "The End of Childhood" from LordCorwin
Review:
Wow.... a tad morbid, but I like the background you're doing. I would like to think we'll only see a few more chapters of background, before you get into the "cannon" stuff (although it is definitely AU) .. :)
Comments from author:
We have one more chapter of background before we get into "cannon", thought it won't seem very "cannon".

Interesting story. A much darker take on young Harry.

Looking forward to see were this story goes.

Well written, but I think you need to warn how dark this chapter is, quite disturbing.

Review:
Wow... that's a really dark Harry.

You have this listed as a non-crossover, but you mentioned Sunnydale too.
So is it an x-over or isn't it?

Update soon!
