Poor, sad, pilocky Hank. And poor Joyce, to lose her family for fear of losing them...at least in this verse some of the money problems will be less, and maybe Hank can get a job nearer to his family.
I look forward to the next chapter, thanks for writing.

I have to admit, I'm astonished. This is a non cross with Hank as a primary not getting a shovel to the back of the skull character, and I really really want to read more. My world is askew... but in a good way. :)
Awesome story, so well done. I really feel for Hank in this story, he made some very human mistakes and his daughters may never forgive him, no matter how much he wants them to. It is a bit sad that Buffy can only accept money from him by pretending it is money he owes her mother. And Hank choosing to join up with the crazy brigade and help his family was very touching.

Or not. I loved this so much and want to see an update yesterday, because it's that good - even though I'm a die-hard B/A shipper (not that season eight!assassinate Angel's character crap, the real one that IDW still puts on the shelves) - but this has been nigh upon awesome so far and I don't want it to end.
I felt like gushing every chapter would be overkill so I'm doing it now. This story fills me with so much GLEE! Please update as soon as your muse allows. I know how that is, so I completely understand.

I totally love Spike in this story and considering I didn't warm to him until ANGEL season five, that's saying something. You are magic! *is anticipatory*

Review of chapter "A Fresh View" from Angelfirenze
Review:
Hank's conversation with the cabbie was certainly snicker-worthy. A lot of community buildings. Ha! I wonder if he'll start a personal game of Count the Funerals...which should not be funny, but since this is Sunnydale...*giggles madly*

Glad you're continuing this -- and that Hank was sane (or insane) enough to realize that he can't beat 'em and must therefore join 'em in Sunnydale, if he wants to be family with Buffy and Dawn. Nice touch about the child-support money having been put safely aside, even though Joyce wouldn't accept it anymore, so that it's there in Buffy's hour of greatest financial need.

He did miss his girls. Heck - I'm still relieved the monk's spell worked on him!
Thank you - I'm glad you like!

*takes a deep breath to calm down* I'm trying to think of another non-crossover Buffy story that's made this incredibly excited. I...*deep breath* This is made of win, I tell you. I can't wait to see what happens next!

Let's see now--all that's needed after this is for Hank to suggest that if Giles gets a salary to be her watcher, the slayer should get a salary, too. Dawn's going to be the hardest one to connect with, probably. Tara's comment about Hank was perfect --he's much better than her father. Deciding to stay and try despite all he's learned is a good step. Now, no social worker problems (hopefully) due to his presence. * Maybe he'll recognize signs of magic addiction in Willow in time to get her some help? ie addiction symptoms in general...

That might be interesting, bringing Giles in to the picture. By phone, or in person. Apologetic, or Expectant?
There is certainly more that needs to happen to solidify Hank's place. He hasn't even gone into the whole moving to a hellmouth freak-out. What about his job?
So many thoughts, but what will the muse do?

I'd almost forgotten about this one, but it came back, hooray! Really enjoyed this chapter. Things got a smidge better for our heroes. Hope your muse allows more to come soon!

The question now is, do we end it soon? or bring in a bad guy? or maybe ... hmmm...
