Review of chapter "Chapter Eight" from draconis
Almost rated a 9. Very nice story.
I was drawn in unexpectedly. The story was a nice changeup from many stories here. It treated the whole Ziva thing as 'just another day in the life of'. Frustrations and good fortune treated with similar circumspection.
The interpersonal dynamics, feelings, thoughts, conversations, and descriptions of body language were well presented.
It took awhile, but the character relationships finally more or less matured during the presentation of the day-by-day goings-on in Ziva's life, including foibles, misunderstandings, and eventual unresolved resolutions at a human level that seemed fairly natural. Very much the 'let's ignore things until something external forces us not to' method of problem solving humans do so well.
I was disappointed that even at the end, where she found a place and people to call 'home' and family, Ziva likely still felt her life was controlled by her father and the Mossad and she'd eventually be reassigned back to earth...as routine and inevitable.

This is a really good story. I enjoyed it from start to finish.
Making the Cota (Children of the Asuran's) the bad guy through me for a loop. I was like; "Replicator's? How'd they survive the attack?" And then they're suddenly a back-up or fail-safe program that was accidentally activated by a routine recon of a new planet. Wow! Just wow!

Review of chapter "Chapter Eight" from Selonianth
Tony'd learn eventually. If only because he's too nosy for his own good, but more likely because Ziva would get dispensation to tell him.

I just re-read this story again - I've been doing so about three or four times a year since I first found it - and it is Just. So. Awesome.
Probably right up there in the top three or five NCIS crossovers I've ever read.
Probably right up there in the top three or five Stargate crossovers I've ever read.
Yes, the repetition was intended. It's that good. (I don't want to definitely throw out a "best" because there's some good competition out there too, including some of my own work if I might say so.)

Review of chapter "Chapter Eight" from DofEire
I have no idea how I missed this before. The characterizations are beautifully done; on "NCIS", you don't see much of the "inner Ziva". I think you've done a wonderful job here, and brought a depth of feeling and a broader dimension to not only Ziva, but also Tony, Abby, and the rest from NCIS, as well as the SGA personnel. Teyla's confusion and resentment about being treated like a Terran woman; Ronon's glee and delight in battle; Sheppard's moods and McKay's sharp tongue (and hurray for Abby, giving as good as she gets!). And then the Replicators. Oy vey, the Replicators. Paula, and Jenny, and Kate, and Ari, and Agent Pacci....my guts twisted when the names started showing up. That, to me, is the mark of a good storyteller: evocation of emotion with just a few key words.
Well done, once again.

Review of chapter "Chapter Eight" from MarcusSLazarus
My knowledge of Ziva is limited, but the concept of her transfer to Atlantis makes sense, and even if I’m a bit confused about WHY something went wrong between her and Tony during their ‘reunion’, the Replicator attack on NCIS was generally good (Particularly Ducky’s line about giving them the wrong information).

Review of chapter "Chapter Eight" from RocksandGlass
This is really really really good. It was really good just the first few chapters, Ziva on Atlantis, adjusting to the change and moving on, and then you chucked in the earth scenes, and then the adventure/crime/mystery bit and just brought the story to a whole new level.
really loved this one.

Review of chapter "Chapter Eight" from skabs
rereading, because this story is awesome, and i caught something there at the end that i didn't pay attention to...
Ziva is "mom".
I don't know why, but I do think she slips into the mom role that the show doesn't really have. Teyla is great as "mother", being all wise and soft, but the crew needed someone more pragmatic- more like them. Ziva wouldn't have been able to handle that role without her experiences at NCIS, but she could now.

This story was great, I must say
in rhyme about it on rhyming day;
The plot was intriguing and flowed so well,
You sent those Replicators straight to hell.

Nice. I hope you choose to write a sequel at some point. Although I wish I'd seen more of Ziva's interactions with the characters.
