Review of chapter "War" from spk
Review:
Just found this and it is freaking fantastic. So many twists and turns. Such a unique story idea with the whole twin thing. I sincerely hope that at some time in the future you will be inspired to write the final story and give us an amazing conclusion with the war. :)

I loved this, I think you did a great job especially using the style of Anita from the books while making her approximately one million times more likeable.

Review of chapter "Mother" from BrownFinderth
Review:
I've been enjoying reading this story, yet, this is the first time I've come across a fanfiction author who wants to be paid to write!! Might I suggest the author up the level (and length) of their stories and get an agent to patronize the major publishing houses? Hmm?? Seriously, though, the author has written a very good story to this point!!!

Great story so far. I hope you will be inspired to continue the next part soon. - Notice, I gave plenty of warning so you will have time to write more before I run out of story in book 2!

Review of chapter "War" from KestralWatcher
Review:
Fantastic! A very enjoyable and intriguing read. I'd beg you for the story of the war, but I know all too well the problems of getting bored with your own writing. Best of luck, and I hope you are finding inspiration elsewhere.

Review of chapter "Hide and Seek" from laoshi
Review:
The banner at the top of the first chapter is great, it's really atmospheric. I'm really blown away by the levels of skill shown in your writing, especially when i read in your profile that you're not a native speaker.

There a wonderful immediacy to the start of the chapter, to the struggle between Anita and her Lion. The blood in her mouth bringing her back to herself adds a certain physicality to the proceedings. You never let us forget for a minute that as gut wrenching as the emotional fallout from her continuing ordeal is, it's the physical danger which is most worrying Anita's life is seeping away with every battle.

Throughout the chapter we slowly build to a sense of utter desperation of despair. Anita feels like a general months in to a long siege who knows that each battle brings an incremental lessening of her will and resources. That disaster inches nearer with each new day. You've taken that sense in the books that Anita has to lurch from crisis to crisis without a moment to catch her breath and intensified it.

All this leads to Asher's solution. I love that you've set up so many unanswered questions? What is Asher's relationship to Buffy? Why does it take an unparalleled threat to Anita's life for him to make contact with her? Why is it so dangerous for Buffy to come to Saint Louis?

I really appreciate the one moment of levity in the chapter when the ceiling
refuses to cooperate with Anita.

Review of chapter "Mother" from leelaa
Review:
Buffy's driving - or rather, the reactions to it...SUPERBLY DESCRIBED. Hilarious. A high point in a uniformly terrific story is difficult to manage, but this does it.
