It's an interesting concept, and you're doing a good job of building suspense. But I'm having trouble with Buffy's gripe about her friends thinking that she'd gone to Hell: they only assumed that because she died going through a portal to a Hell dimension. It was a reasonable misunderstanding, and her harping about it here comes off as kind of out of character. Then again, only you know which character she really is right now, so who knows? Looking forward to the next chapter.
gee, Willow erases someone's memory just once (or maybe a few more times) and everybody gets all nervous! ... boy, this is going to be an awkward conversation. especially as Tara just dumped her. I wonder if Spike ever countered the doctor in any of his incarnations, however briefly... or if Giles knows anything about him from his books. and oh yeah, what the frilly heck is going on. Buffy = Doctor? Is this some kind of timey-wimey, wibbly-wobbly... never mind.
