Review of chapter "Not Just Once" from WolfWriter
Review:
This really needs a sequel.

No one should be betrayed like that twice in a lifetime. No one.

I hope that Willow finds happiness.

I read this and I just felt for her. Its so believable. Willow could love someone like that. She would be willing to give up everything for the one she loves. I normally love Remy but I wanted to punch him after reading this. Loved it.

Comments from author:
While I'm not always certain that I see the appeal of all of the people Willow has been shown falling for in canon, she does seem to do so whole-heartedly, without reservations or cautions. If she hadn't given herself into the feelings and relationships to that degree, things wouldn't have been so miserably bleak for her when Oz left and when Tara died. It's an amazing trait for a person to have.

Sadly, how deeply one person cares doesn't always mean much when it comes to "is the other person worth it?" The world (and any fictional one you can name) is full of people who aren't so nice, and some who are downright horrible. Many people have had relationships with people who weren't so wonderful.

As for Remy - he's a complicated character with issues, and flaws to his personality as well as an insanely complicated past. Normally, I like him, and he's almost always fun to write about. But the thing is, as he's written in the comics, he's not been one for deep romantic commitment all the time. Which means that while his next relationship could be like Belladonna or Rogue - someone that he's willing to suffer, maybe even die for - it could also be yet another fun but shallow affair with minimal commitment. I can see things ending badly with him as easily as I can see it becoming a strong relationship.

Sometimes, the images and ideas for a less happy story are too vivid and insistent to ignore, and they demand to be written. This was one of them. (So was 'Chosen', for that matter, though there's no Remy in that fic.)

*sniffles* Poor Willow!

I really like the fic, you write Willow's sadness very well.
Comments from author:
I'm glad that you enjoyed it.

Sometimes, things don't end with 'and they lived happily ever after.' and I got attacked by a plot bunny that wouldn't let me forget about that unpleasant fact. Combine that with I was working on 'Small Favor' and the canon behavior for Remy...

the result is one little angsty fic.

Review:
Wow, I mean really that was like wow. I have not one iota of experience with any real violence but witch or not had that been me that WHOLE place would have burned!! Great read. a real blow to the gut, but like one reviewer said I can't help but to wonder..what next did Xavier feel any of that and why was Giles and Buffy basically cutting her off. I'll pay you any amount of fake money you want to turn this into something more!!!
Comments from author:
Glad that the fic got to you.

Giles and Buffy... that felt plausible for canon. Yes, you could make a case for them staying in touch, for keeping the long distance ties. You could also make a case for out of sight, out of mind for Buffy, and got caught up in the Hellmouth for Giles. Honestly, it worked for the plot-bunny. I'd have to dig a little into why if this ever got extended.

This was intended as a one-shot, making the whole question of Xavier irrelevant. My WiP list says I should leave it as it is (at least for now).

It was... I'm not sure 'fun' is the right word, but interesting enough that I might play here again if I can ever get my WiP list down to a more manageable number.

If someone else wants to run with the idea, they're welcome to play with this and the various questions and possibilities.

Review:
Considering what Willow did to Warren in Canon, Remy is lucky that certain appendages used in pleasuring women weren't shrunken to the point of non-existance. Of course, given time Willow still might think of that.
Comments from author:
not destroying the apartment or Remy in an immediate fit of rage does not mean no consequences for Remy...

Though I intended this to be a one shot. Really and truly.

Review:
Hoo boy! Poor Willow. Burned twice by men.

Of course, the first time, it wasn't Oz' fault that Veruca's inner animal appealed to his. But Remy doesn't have that excuse.

Hm, maybe her little temper tantrum showed up on Cerebro, and Professor X got a bit of a clue as to her location. I could see her becoming an X-man, or maybe just a student at the school.
Comments from author:
Buffy's not the only one who can end up with guys who aren't good for her in the end.

Remy is... Remy. A charmer, a woman-chaser, and not really used to steady relationships or consequences. I can see things ending badly at least as easily as Happily Ever After. A fun character to read and write about, but not the sort I'd ever want to date.

This was intended as a one-shot, to dispatch the plot bunny that attacked my ankles as I worked on SmallFavor6. Right now, I have no plans to continue it, but... I said that once about a few other things.
