On further contemplation, it makes perfect sense that Faith is part of Mal's bloodline.

Episode 1: "..and ya know why we're not gonna die, private-because we're too damn pretty."

and only Mal is so irreverent as to curse so well- (the slight occasional subtlety and self-erony is Xander's influence.)

Firefly-Chinese- Shove the whole universe up my but! LOL.

I recommend this one.

Not to mention trying, however effectively or not, to protect his girls. Mal has shown a great desire to protect Kaylee, River and Inara at various points, even if he doesn't always get along with them. It's very Xander-esque...
