Review of chapter "Coda: Heart of Darkness" from ShyBob
Review:
I love how you've got a balanced Xander going on, without the stereotypical Super!Xander failings. You're perilously close to the edge, but by not making Xander the very best fighter, or hook up with all the girls, you've actually given him more depth. I really liked how you've got Xander building up a counter-balance to the Council, and slapped them on the wrist (or thigh, with a knife, I guess). Plus, Vi!

The femoral arteries are in the legs not the neck, most grade schoolers know that. The jugular vein is where your describing and it takes seconds to to die and their actually alot of them(arteries ) in the head and throat.

I'm enjoying your story and I hope you finish the last installment.
Comments from author:
That was in reference to where Xander directed the knife in stabbing the guy's thigh, not when he held it against the guy's neck. He could directed it a little bit differently, but chose not to.

Thanks.

Review of chapter "Coda: Heart of Darkness" from (Current Donor)Speakertocustomers
Review:
You are a gifted writer and your stories read as if they were professional pulp novels, from the '30s, written by authors such as Lester Dent. Perhaps the best 'ludicrously over-powered Xander' stories on the site - at least, the best in which Super!Xander is played straight.

Even so, all Super!Xander stories share the same weakness - the Xander we loved in the show becomes unrecognisable and loses all the traits that made him lovable. And the Xander/Jenny romance is... ewww!
Comments from author:
If Xander never changes as a result of the catalyst, then the initial change is superflous and ultimately makes the story unnecessary. It's its own genre, in a way, but the series itself has characters change and develop so I can't say that it's a weakness. If the character loses all traits, as opposed to a natural development, that's an issue with the writing I'll admit.

There are things that I would change now that feel jarring or awkward, which is the nature of publishing as it's being written, but not any wholesale changes. The Xander/Jenny romance isn't something that I would change. It was chosen for a number of reasons and operates as a strength and a weakness for the character(s). It's also not meant to be viewed by everyone as a positive. There are (serious) issues with it, which is part of the point.

Thanks.

Review:
This is a very unique verse you've written! I like it a lot, even if I'm not a fan of the Xander/Jenny pairing. Haha but the evolution of Xander's powers and meeting his people was exciting, and I'm looking forward to seeing what happens with the Avengers when they eventually catch up to him. I'm fine with a leaning more towards the Marvel characters, because there's a lot more to do with them in this verse it seems... I gotta say I'm holding out hopes that Xander changes his last name when he turns 18

Still along for the ride. While more is not always better, I do like how you interweave new characters in so I'd say add as you feel necessary.

Fascinating :) And for my part, feel free to introduce even more Marvel characters if the story calls for them :)

This story is awesome.

I think the Buffy to Marvel ratio is fine because the Buffy Characters are in the spotlight most of the time.

As a side note: I am now making my Shameless Powerman/Iron fist plug. Luke Cage is awesome. Just throwing that out there.
Comments from author:
He's been mentioned a couple of times before. He is planned to appear.

Thanks.

Review:
There is a simple solution, if you're willing to poach an Angel-exculsive character. If you can incorporate Lorne, you can easily work in the Groosalaug and Fred the girl by using his Pylea portal plot arc. Might seem cheap, but considering that Pylea might be be making a bid to become another Capitol City of Heaven, with Groo as their Immortal Weapon.

Pitting their champion against a REAL Immortal Weapon might close the door on that particular opportunity.
Comments from author:
Wolfram and Hart have seen Orson fight. That's not something easily found, other than something perhaps like the Beast. Groo's about Angel power level, which wouldn't be enough.

Thanks though.

Review:
I really liked this story. But after that last chapter I think the story has just spiraled out of control. I was just lost. Maybe its just me. When you were focusing on Xander and his developing abilities and the others reactions to them it was a good story. The last chapter though just had me lost. It had nothing to do with anything. If it doesnt change in the next couple chapters Ill just loose interest . A shame when it started out so good. just my opinion. sorry.
Comments from author:
I usually don't have the epilogues focus on main characters. It's more a tease of what's coming than anything else, mirroring the post-credits scene of the Iron Man movie one could say.

I get what you mean, but everything that happened, other than with Amadeus, was stated or alluded to before, so it was all plot-driven.

Thanks.

read the series start to finish. It is freaking awesome please update soon.

Edit:

Oh yeah you would seriously be my hero and make my life by including Luke Cage as a more perminate character.

Powerman & Iron Fist were the baddest bad asses in the history of superhero team ups.

Review of chapter "Chapter Eleven: Quo Vadis" from Telmah
Review:
fantastic story so far! No mary sues, every one is human and flawed. Lots of grey, mistakes made by all, and yet your heroes are still real heroes. They try, in the face of grey, to do good and avoid evil. They know how to act, despite the risk of being wrong, and take responsibility for the consequences.
Thank you for sharing your time and talent with us.
