Oh, this was so adorable! I don't normally like Buffy/Giles, as I think of them more as father and daughter, but you write so wonderfully, and the relationship feels really natural here.
On an aside, I don't wish to seem dumb, but the only meaning of stevedore I know is a docker, so does it have some other...colloquial meaning?

It's the evidence that Buffy used to convince Giles it was really her when Faith switched bodies with her (In 'Who are You') - the exchange is:
BUFFY: Oh, oh! When I had psychic power, I heard my mom think that you were like a stevedore during sex. Wh--? Do you want me to continue?
GILES: Actually, I beg you to stop.
BUFFY: What's a stevedore?
I'm assuming from the way that Buffy says it that Joyce was being complimentary, not complaining ...

Awesome series! Creative, true to the characters, and well done. Love every new story and chapter. Thanks for the enjoyable experience! oh, and that should be 10/10. . . I always forget which is best on this scale.

Any chance of Giles spotting Joyce's health problems in time to do something about them?
Let me add that I also want to see what wonderful things Giles does for Tara and Dawn, when they come along.

Not sure about Joyce's health - still trying to decide if the gift can influence non-magical destinies ...
Dawn will have her story, when I get round to writing it. And Tara's around - I'm not entirely sure what's going to happen when her father arrives in town, but I suspect it'll be an interesting experience!

It's AU from early season 5 - and I really must get round to writing the story where Giles runs into Ben/Glory and manages to solve the whole Glory problem without actually realising it!
