Review of chapter "Five." from FireWolfe

Love to see more one day soon. This has a lot of potential in being great.

Thank you once again for a kick up the arse (!)....

Things are still in progress... Really appreciate that you still think about this occasionally.

All the best

Review:
This so needs an update.
Fire
Comments from author:
You are sooo right !

Would you believe that something is actually happening about an update, but...

That 'but' is damn annoying, but (!) it is there. Unfortunately Lucy and I are still arguing about the next chapter, it's as bloody stubborn as CH3 of Lady Blue. All we can say is that it is progressing as quickly as we can wrestle it onto the screen.

Thank you for showing a continued interest in the story.

All the best,

Emily.

Review of chapter "Five." from Gideon
Review:
The people of this world are a bit more suspicious than most of the worlds SG1 has visited aren't they? And quite a bit more competent and powerful it looks like. I think Jack needs to try a bit harder to get on their good side. Although all that matriarchal stuff probably rubs him the wrong way being the Colonel and all.
I wonder what story will be told?
Comments from author:
Hehe...

Jack, no doubt, will 'Huff and Puff', but he's a professional with many years of experience, and he'll learn to adapt... It's poor Daniel who's bound to get into the most trouble... the poor man will be wrapped with frustration at the possibility of not being able to get answers to the questions which always seem to crowd his mind.

Thanks so much for taking the time to rate and leave a review.

Review of chapter "Five." from draconis
Review:
Story has lots of promise. Looking forward to much more!

Seems like it's introducing an alternate or later timeline earth after Slayers (and bad guys) have drawn up territories. But so far you only implied that the Worldgate allows travel through time and space, not dimensions/realities ("...the system leads not only to the 'Where' but to the 'When'.") I suppose "where" COULD mean a different dimension/reality...

You got me wondering if Faith is effectively immortal with the brown eyes to grey color-shift thing. They are clearly very tech advanced...nanites or magicks (or maybe magicked-nanites)? Or, perhaps it's just good medical tech. Though I am puzzled why she woke up from her injuries without her lover present.

One significant blip...I'm sure an attacking war-horse could do quite a bit better than 10 miles per hour in 50 meters. With a light rider/gear, more likely 30 to 45mph (Earth quarter-horse max speed is almost 50mph).

edit:
It will be very interesting to get the backstory on WHY Joyanne's people don't allow travelers to go right back where they came from, and what happens to those they deny the ability to return home (killed, enslaved, marooned off-world/island, abandoned to the "Crows", etc)

edit--response to author's comment
I thought Joyanne naming her WARhorse "Tawny" was just you letting a "bit of Buffy" peek out from Joyanne. Not 'Thunder' or 'Destroyer' etc for her warhorse...nope...what else could she name giant death on four legs but "Tawny... 'cause she's so pretty".
Comments from author:
Tawny..? You know all the time I was describing the poor animal I was picturing a fully barded Percheron or Clydesdale, which in no way corresponds to what he is. Doh !! Lucy knows less about horses than I do, so... Info changed in response to your advice!

Faith (?) - Sorry, not saying a word yet.

So very thrilled that you think the story has promise, and has the possibility of continuing to garner your interest.

Thank you enormously for taking the time to rate and leave a review.

Review of chapter "Four." from Gideon
Review:
Fantastic start. The first three chapters are excellent, slowly building the universe into what looks like an alternate stargate/Buffy world with the Buffy part perhaps in the past or future. Then chapter four takes us in another direction again. Mysterious. (In a good way)
I hope you are able to continue this story, it shows great promise, and don't be afraid to take it slow. I like it.
Comments from author:
Us continues to be so glad that peoples is continuing to like this humble attempt at world-building, even if all that has been shown so far is a bit of a mountain valley and the impression of a city somewhere out of sight...

This is being continued - the next chapter is nearly nearly ready - even if the muse is wanting to add something to "Lady Blue" as well.

Thank you so much for taking the time to rate and leave a review.

Review of chapter "Four." from PATM
Review:
I love this story! I was thinking to my self "self--?" I actually was wondering if this story was
gonna be updated and then BOOM, there it was. Well done with the story there and what is
with the Girl on a horse while data pads levitating mk11 eyeballs tieing into a nightmare
of someone named Faith? Very good. I also noticed that 4th chapter was the same length
longer than the 3rd as the 2nd was to the 1st.(approximately). Once again very happy
you updated.
Comments from author:
Aaaargh...

This wasn't actually the next chapter I promised so long ago - it's sitting there in it's folder staring at me, half-dressed and daring me to do something.

Took the dog for a walk on Saturday morning, thought of this, wrote it in an hour, cleaned it up on Sunday and posted it on Monday... So annoying the way the Muse works.

As for the way things seem to be being revealed, I truly hope that things will not be so confusing when you can say 'Oh, that's what is going on'. With the way that this is being written, I just cant seem to be able to reveal everything in one big 'go'. All I can say is that everything is connected to what has gone on before. (Even in some of the canon mythology).

Thanks again for continuing to review and leave various thoughts for contemplation.

When I saw Outgoing entered I looked for this story to see if it was updated...whaaaaa! oh well. Please, soon?

Next part - 4 - is almost here. It is a bit longer than normal, and is being very naughty by refusing to sit still for editing.

Review:
OH SWEET! I'd say this is more than a few minutes of dialog and flickering images.
The gentle tone of the Watch as she inquired of Teal'c his missing demon and the
bantering with Sam concerning the status of the males... what is a dinarrii worth
any who? I digress, a lovely continuation here.
Comments from author:
I actually looked up a Dinar for fun... I think it used to be something like 6-8 ounces of gold (!?)

Really glad you're continuing to read and are still enjoying what's presented.

Thanks one again for taking the time to leave a review.

I'm utterly unfamiliar with the book, so this was a bit confusing. Still, you presented it well enough that I'm interested. Can't wait to see how you fill us all in on the world and what's going on in it. Thanks for posting.
Comments from author:
Sorry no book yet - I must be really be confusing people (!?)

Glad you like the way things on screen are presented so far, and really hope you continue to read.

Review of chapter "One." from darren
Review:
This is interesting, but is it a crossover or an original universe?

"From The Book of Titles: Beyond The Horizon," you said. I can't find any reference anywhere on Google or Wikipedia to help me out here. If it's a book crossover, you should give us the author's name so we can track it down.
Comments from author:
Sorry... The other crossovers aren't here yet (part 5 or 6 at the moment), but we are just starting with what is on the screen so far. It could be considered an original Universe to contain the whole of our crossovers.

THe Book of Titles is an actual book of Titles I found in a second hand book store - first printed in the mid-1930's I think.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review,

Review of chapter "Three." from kanikan
Review:
Well, this just keeps getting interesting. I loved the bit with Sam being asked how much to buy the men in the group, what a wonderful flip for the SG1 team. I'm interested to see what the deal is with the new Summers girl, and whether you're going to have the Buffy cast or just mention them as predecessors or some such. Keep writing.
Comments from author:
Really glad what is here so far is keeping your interest... Not saying anything yet about the scoobies et al.

Blink, blink, blink. Okay, I am now officially hooked. I also now have no idea what is going on, but am dying to find out.
Comments from author:
So glad we haven't driven you away yet. (Hope not to as well!)

I know not much is 'officially' going on on the screen yet; all in my mind at the moment, but glad you're liking it so far and took the time to leave a review.

Thanks,

Emily.
