Review of chapter "Chapter 8: Made In Heaven" from DieselDriver
Review:
Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

“Fools!” Luaire boomed. “Resistance is futile.”

And he really was going to "assimilate" them into the Goa'uld hierarchy.

Eeewww. A Goa'uld Borg??? Nasty thought.

Review of chapter "Chapter 2: Where Were You When My Ship Went Down?" from DieselDriver
Review:
Some of the names reminded me of other characters in other stories. Sasami in Tenchi Muyo, "The Kellith" in the Whately stories. Fond memories.
Comments from author:
Actually the Original Character names in this story are taken from place names in the Yorkshire and Lancashire Dales. My wife and I were driving through the Dales, on the way to my daughter's graduation from York University, and she commented that the names on the road signs would make good character names; I took her suggestion and ran with it.

Sa'Sani is a canon character, not original, and I have no idea where Obsidian Entertainment came up with the inspiration.

Review:
ok, still really like this whole series, but I did get confused when Light of Heavens and Joy came around... Where's the rest of there posse... Did I miss something?
and I'm pretty patient... People have to wait for me right now while I'm trying to write on mine.
Comments from author:
My intention is to let the whereabouts of the others emerge over the course of this story and another, 'Welcome to the Black Parade', which will follow it. It is possible that I'll actually cover the gap between 'Tabula Avatar' and 'Debt of Blood' in a story called 'Stairway to Heaven' but I might well decide that it isn't necessary to do so. One reason why I haven't updated this one for a while is that I'm still debating if the way to go is to write that story or just to leave it as back-story that will be referred to but not covered in detail.

However it is known by now that Tara is in Rashemen (and so presumably Willow and Minsc are there too) and Sorkatani is dead and imprisoned in the Wall of the Faithless.

I am still waiting for Chapter 9. I love this storyline to date and can't wait to see where you take this. Too bad there isn't a Ship of the Line spin off for this.
Comments from author:
Thank you! I'm holding off on this for a little as I want to write a particular story, an NCIS/SG-1 crossover called 'The King of Elfland's Daughter', before I deal with the arrival of SG-1 at Crossroad Keep. Don't worry, it's fairly short, and it's now under way.

Review:
I've just read the entire Tabula Avatar series and must congratulate you on an amazing series, though I found the jump between Tabula Avatar 3 and Debt of Blood quite strange. I can only hope you keep adding to this wonderful piece of literary work.
Comments from author:
Thank you very much; I have returned to this story now, after a long hiatus while I've been working primarily on a non-Buffyverse Lord of the Rings crossover, and I'll be adding to it before too much longer.

Alas poor Neeshka, she irritated me tremendously. I had missed this story for some reason. I look forward to reading the rest, and how it all fits together.

Thanks for writing
Comments from author:
I loved Neeshka; her fiercely devoted loyalty more than made up for her flaws.

Thank you!

Oh man I so want you to finish this story Speaker. I am suffering from a bad addiction to your works.
Comments from author:
Thank you! Now that I've finished 'Les Morts Dansant' I'll be returning to the 'Tabula Avatar' 'verse - although the next thing I have planned, and indeed have nearly finished, is a one-off prequel to 'A Plague of Serpents' showing Buffy's first appearance in the guise of Light of Heavens.

Review:
Nice to see that this particular situation is resolved. Your afterlife and its gods really makes me smile - you expanded the idea of Stargate (the cafe you also visited in Debt of Blood) in a great way. Having Light of Heavens in a larger than life capacity going towards the knight-captain unfortunately means that we won't see her meeting SG-1, doesn't it?

Thanks for writing
Just in Jest

Edit: That's not what I meant. I know the cafe is canon - but your idea of portraying the afterlife/celestial realms as mundane locations (teaching hospital, Sharbucks) seems to have its roots in the Astral Diner.
Comments from author:
Thank you!

The Astral Diner in Debt of Blood is Stargate canon and isn't the same place as Sharbucks - but it gave Shar the idea.

SG-1 will arrive at Crossroad Keep before Light of Heavens leaves so they will meet.

It always gives me great pleasure whenever I realize that you have updated! As usual your chapter was well written and fascinating. Keep up the good work!

I am wondering though who exactly is in Shar's alliance. For example I admit I haven't the faintest clue who the girl with blue and hair is. Would it possible for you to provide a list?

I look forward to future updates.
Comments from author:
Thank you very much!

I don't want to give a full list of Shar's allies just yet. I was going to have Chantry list the Bridesmaids in the last chapter but it ended up not fitting in. However I can tell you that the barefoot girl with blue and green hair is Eldath, the Lady of Singing Waters, goddess of Peace - Kelleth's deity, and Mielikki's best friend. She's not actually one of the Bridesmaids but only because she's extremely shy.

Review of chapter "Chapter 8: Made In Heaven" from Macfeste
Review:
I'm so very glad to see this story updated. I've been playing a dark elf spellcaster in "Skyrim" that i've named "Cierre", so I am always excited to see an update to your universe.

"Sharbucks" is wonderful. Between that and the "What's up, Doc?" reference, am I to infer that the Faerunian pantheon have visited earth in some form or fashion? Or do they have a "Divine Movie night"? One wonders what the gods and goddesses of toril think of earth's major Religions..

It's the little details that you add to your stories that move them from merely excellent to Outstanding.

Edit: If Shar has visited a Starbucks, I wonder if she met Gibbs? Heh.

You know, I made the Shar/Gibbs suggestion as a joke, really. But the more I think about it, it works. He certainly knows Loss, pain, and unrevealed secrets. I love the idea!

I can't wait for that crossover to come to light. I know you have your own schedule, but still. I vote for bringing that out soon!
Comments from author:
Thank you!

Yes, some of the Faerûnian pantheon have indeed visited Earth. For instance Mielikki still has some worshippers there, among the Finnish neo-pagans, and she dropped in to take a look at them.

I'm not going to confirm at this stage if Shar has met Gibbs - but if she has it will be in a future NCIS crossover to be called 'The King of Elfland's Daughter', in which Cierre is the prime suspect for the murder of a Marine. At present the story exists only in draft form.
