Review of chapter "Searching For a Slayer" from Vorchan
Sir, an especially nice touch is the link to the picture called "Weird Dreams" from your f a n p o p account- that is a nice touch! A nice idea indeed to put a visual art concept in your work!
Delightful story thus far, Sir!
I especially like the idea of "Buffy, Slayer and now Queen of the Vampires" too, intriguing concept for them to deal with indeed; though when she does turn into a vampiress in the series, she is nice, actually- and protective!
This is turning out to be a spectacular story!

Review of chapter "The Master Plan" from Vorchan
In a nutshell, Faith wants to make Buffy fall in love with her... that's ...,,,... creative.
Comments from author:
Not original, true. This is what played out for me though. Thanks for the comment.

Review of chapter "Yea, I Can Run" from Xovervore
Hi new tth member here. I can't believe your story only has about 20 reviews. It is a great story. When Faith approached Buffy on the pier I knew what she was going to do - sad but necessary. When Buffy was burning it was very sad (and I know some readers were hoping she would survive this, but even much older vampires like Angel would be unlikely to do so yet alone one who is little more than a fledgling even with her slayer bonus). But what we learned when Faith was in the hospital made it a true tragedy - it brought tears to my eyes (and I am of the old school 'men don't cry' background).
This story has one of the most powerful endings of any story I have read (and I am including professionally published stories here - of which I have read thousands of both novels and short stories). Congratulations for such an unhappily ending but true to itself story.

Review of chapter "Yea, I Can Run" from LunasMeow
You know, when I said I'd give this fic a shot I had no idea it would be this good. And the ending? Amazing. Tragic, but amazing. I could certainly see that happening in a world where Buffy got turned. I'm gonna be posting this as a rec on another site where I read a lot of Fuffy.

Thank you very much! I'm glad you enjoyed the story.

I just finished posting the follow up story "Loss of Faith". If your feeling generous, give it a shot.

Thank you again for the kind words.

Review of chapter "Yea, I Can Run" from GypsyDruid
I was kinda hoping that Faith would go through with being Turned. I admit that I didn't even think of the ensouling spell, but it really sucks the way she found out. I think I wanna cry.

BTW, did Buffy really burn, or did she make it to safety?
Comments from author:
Thanks for taking the time to review!

I was kinda hoping she'd get turned to, but it just didn't come out that way. I know most people would have preferred a happy ending and again it just didn't come out that way. At least not this time.

Giles had said that a slayer turned vamp was much, much stronger than regular vamps. So..............

Wow! Awesome! Very twisty and turny the whole way through. I'm so glad you decided to write it! To everyone else - go check out all of Lupo's fanart on fanpop!

Thanks for the review, Faith. Also thanks for the plug, lol.

I'm glad you liked the story even if it didn't have the typical 'Happily Ever After' ending to it.

Review of chapter "Yea, I Can Run" from Cutiepie
I knew it was coming and it still hurt. Faith having to kill Buffy (whether or not she had her soul returned) was just going to be horrible. I couldn't figure out just what was really bothering me about turned-Buffy, until the final 8 or so chapters. It was the art that you included, and how she was always in vamp-face. I think that was the biggest clue that she was certainly not Buffy anymore. I think that if she had still been herself, she would have avoided the vamp-face as much as possible.

I'm wondering, however, did Buffy not see that Faith threw the ring into the ocean? I expected her to dive after it. Or was she still too dazed from the ensouling to know which way was even up? Then again, you didn't say, so maybe she did in fact go for the ring after Faith was too gone to notice (leaving the door open for that "happy ending" that so many will be wanting).

By the way, thank you so much for not letting Faith be the ultimate idiot and let herself be turned. My sister has been after me to read the "Twilight" series, but when she let it slip that a character gets turned voluntarily, that killed that idea from ever happening. The idea of someone being turned voluntarily just grates on my every nerve.

Thank you for the in depth review!!!

As I said before, I enjoy stories that allow the reader to think beyond what is written and it appears that is what has happened here for you. There are a couple of unanswered questions in the story that may allow me to do a follow up, including clarification of exactly when Faith decided that she had to try and kill Buffy.

Faith was never an idiot, she may have been blinded temporarily by love but her feelings on the matter of vampires was clear (Vamp, Slayer, dead vamp). That being said though, I can see that if Buffy did stay more true to her original self, Faith may have let herself be turned in order to keep what she always wanted (Buffy's love). The result of that and Faith's dark aspect of her personality would of course cause her to become a vampire in the league of Angelus and Buffy herself would have had to kill her. Hmmm, not a bad idea for another story. Whatcha think?

Review of chapter "Yea, I Can Run" from PATM
Incredibly good throughout. I was on pins and needles-ouch until the awesome denouement (its french kiss me). Buffy
would still be a vampire and she would have hated that fate. A great twist on Becoming 1 too. No ash found on the pier
could also mean she survived down in the sea hiding from the sun under the kelp.
Comments from author:
Thank you for the great review!

One of Buffy's greatest fears was to be turned into a vampire. I think the fact she was starting to enjoy it was proof of her losing control to the demon aspect.

I'm very glad you enjoyed the tale.

Review of chapter "Yea, I Can Run" from Fregith
Damn. Quite good and sad.

Of course, now I must imagine a happy ending for myself! I can already invision her running into a certain half-brachen and getting some direction, and the PtB DO have a spare Shanshu prophecy floating around now. I'm sure it wouldn't be TOO much trouble to twist it to mean a certain blonde ex-cheerleader.
Comments from author:
Thanks for taking the time to read this little story.

I'm sure a lot of people will not enjoy the last couple of scenes, but that's just the way I saw it. The ending was open enough that I'm sure the readers could continue it to their own happy conclusion (as you are).

Thanks again!

See ya.............
