This is a really brilliant story. I was impressed at how well you anticipated the changes that being raised in Lancre would have on Harry, and it was hilarious seeing how nonplussed the others were at his failure to live up to their preconceived notions of what he should be. If you're ever inspired to write more in this world, consider me an enthusiastic reader. :-) This is definitely going onto my recs site.

Thank you very much. Of all the stories I've written, this is one of few I'm most proud about. Now if only I can get that sequel off the ground...

Hahahaha. Wow. I laughed so many times. Best Harry Potter/Discworld crossover ever. I especially liked Garbo and Killem All. I'd love to have a sequel, but at the same time I think that this story has a nice, "finished" feel. Thank you for thirty minutes (or however long it took for me to read it) of fun and joy.

This is the first Discworld crossover I've had the pleasure of reading and it was indeed a pleasure. I'm rather fond of the wee free men and was delighted by there inclusion. This story brought many forth many a chuckle. I thank you for a most pleasing experience.

A wonderful piece of story-telling! I loved the way you portrayed Snape, Draco and Hermione! The idea of Harry being raised by Tiffany and the Nac Mac Feegle was inspiring!

Calum Wallace has a story (I think it is his, if not he did a bunch of commenting) where Lily was a 'hag'. It is unfinished as of yet but is very well written, as is yours. In his Harry goes to the far north of Scotland, not a different world.

Totally wonderful story - I for one would love to see a sequel as you appear to have infected me with a fondness for non-Griff Harry and a friendship between him, Hermione and Draco.

Oh I did like this fic! the ending was rather nice too. I hope you write a sequel for the following years as well. I can just see the Wee Free Men (Nac Mac Feegle) traumatizing poor *snerk* Gildiroy *cackles*

Loved your solution to Voldemort's demise (trapped by his own heart's desire - isn't that the true danger of the mirror in the first place?) - and the Grim Squeaker coming for Peter Pettigrew was a nice touch. And yes, while I was initially a Sirius fan, I can see how a practical Harry who'd been raised by dependable adults worthy of respect wouldn't think much of Sirius as a parental figure. In the years since Snape's past with Sirius and James was revealed, I've always enjoyed stories where he discards his (justified) issues towards Harry's family and they get along - mostly because changed circumstances lead to Harry proving that he's not all that much like his father. When I think of Granny Weatherwax's reaction to the Marauders... ooh, that was a full-body shudder.
Well, I'm not holding my breath, but I for one would love a sequel. How about Hermione and Draco going home with Harry for the summer holidays? I think I'd pay money to see Hermione's reactions to Unseen University - and the teachers' reactions to her likely opinion on them. She'd probably get along well with Ponder Stibbons, though. Draco wouldn't have much chance of being raised into a snobby prat once he met Granny Weatherwax, and I wonder how he'd react to Lucius after spending some quality time with the Patrician of Anhk-Morpork? Oh, light-bulb. What about Susan Sto Helit becoming the new DaDA teacher? You can never have enough Susan, in my opinion. (Have you ever read the HP-Discworld crossover 'End of the line'?) How would the castle ghosts react to a visit from her Grandfather?

{snicker} I wouldn't mind seeing another story with this Harry and Severus in it. Severus Snape is my favorite character from the series, and I love reading stories that use him to good effect, and where Dumbledore's betrayals of Severus and Harry don't lead to their deaths (Harry was dead and came back, so I still count it as dead because of Dumbledore). I hope your muse and schedule will allow you to write and post more chapters on more stories sometime soon. Keep up the good work. Zafaran {mailto:} zafaran {at} fastmail {dot} fm
