Not enough bad vampires to kill make was-Buffy a sad and lonely Slayer :( She seems to have an entirely different reaction to Asher though :) And now Buffy is talking to Anita in her sleep. I wonder what she will say? I must admit that I am quite enjoying this story. You describe a person/creature out of its time and with only fragile connections to the rest of society very well. I hope she is able to reconnect with someone or something soon. Maybe she could become Anita's vampire hunting apprentice? At least then they will bring bad vampires to her attention, rather that her having to go out and find them herself.

I really enjoy this story, although I'm confused/bugged about the timeline. I mean, she's 300 years old, but tech and culture haven't changed any? I guess you can ignore that for the sake of the story being good, but it still seems really weird. Despite that I do think its quite good and would like to see more.

Heya, thanks for the review :) I know the timeline seems really off, but don't worry. An explanation will be coming in the story shortly- both to explain Buffy's age and the fact the these vampires and this world are both different and similar to what she's used to. But you'll have to wait for that in the next update- sorry!

The only complaint I have about this latest chapter is that it ended. I'm really loving this story. It is such an interesting direction you are taking Buffy in so far. And I love the connection to The Descent (one of the scariest horror movies ever in my not-so-humble opinion). I can't wait to see where you take the story next. :)

I am so glad you updated. This story is very well done. The shifts in povs are seamless and completely in character. And I love that last line where the old Buffy greets Anita in Anita's dream at the pier. What an excellent cliffhanger. I can't wait for more.
