Review of chapter "Phantom of the Basement" from twilightwanderer
Review:
After rereading this today, I started thinking about how it would be interesting to see M. de Boscherville's introduction to the last hundred and twenty plus years of music. Then I realized that it probably already happened with the iPod Lucy gave him. If she asked Giles what kind of music he liked, unless she specified Classical/Operatic music, he'd be more likely to say The Who, or Pink Floyd, or The Hollies, or Jethro Tull, or The Clash than he would Debussy, or Puccini, or Stravinsky, or Wagner, or Handel. Also, if as you state later, M. l'Fantome sees music as something to be inflicted on its audience, it would be funny to see his reaction to free jazz, or experimental music, or various types of hardcore/heavy metal/death metal/etc. Just an idea that I think would be interesting to see if it inspires you at all. Cheers
Did you write the lyrics for the song Mary sings? If so, very well done. Did you have a tune in mind for it? If not, what is it from? Also, Mary should know Deja Fu :)

I just finished re-reading this story - I'm not quite sure when or how I came to start it again, but I'm so very glad I did. As always, it's brilliant, and I loved every word with the amazing visuals that accompanied them.
This series is absolutely brilliant, and I've read each story several times, but I think this one has to be my favourite. I can see the house in my mind's eye, and everything going on in it; your craftsmanship with this story is superb! The story swings from making me laugh hysterically to occasionally bringing a lump to my throat, and I so hope that there will be more of it... You've successfully woven so many different universes into a seamless whole, and told a great story while doing it.
Congratulations on an amazing piece of art, and thank you for sharing it with us!

Still waiting as patient as can be to see if another chapter will appear. I know that you are busy, and hope so dearly, that you have not dropped this story from your lines of writing. I had to reread this and still has me crying at parts. :)
Comments from author:
Busy, yes. Cruel, no. I'm currently working on the last chapter. Thanks for the love.

I love, adore, and would love to see more of this...one of the most delightful, insane, well-crafted crossovers I've ever seen, on TtH or elsewhere.

The gift of another generation. Xander needs a break and maybe even his own downtime or romance. As much as Dawn may be fixated on him, she may need to find someone outside of their circle. Dunno. In terms of a possible wedding for Giles and Jenny, Willow could marry them... when they're ready.

She wants to invite the Smurfs? I wonder what they will really be... or if they will really be the Smurfs. Meanwhile, I can't quite tell if you mean for Popstar and Erik to be making with the foreplay.

I think I followed that. Not entirely certain. However he is supposed to listen to Dawn and act against his instinct to not be inclusive.

And Jenny didn't blame him, still adjusting. Both of them were. But a sure fine idea.

That took weird to a whole new level. However, it was well developed and stayed "in character." Thanks for continuing. I'm waiting for your "The Munsters" style visits from city and state officials.

You skirted crakety and funny but plausible. Mostly entertaining. Not sure who the dude in the basement was supposed to be (and a few of the other visiting dudes), but I like that their efforts turned part of the basement/crypt into a chapel.
