I love this fic! It's brilliantly written and I love what you did with the Pretender cast. It would be lovely to see them stick around. Buffy/Jarod, Willow/Katherine isn't something I had ever thought of yet it makes sense with the way that you have written the possiblities of it.

I like this story and this chapter was really fun, especially Dawn's "I thought everyone knew".

I fell in love with this story of Xander finding his home, his House. And of him making it a home for everyone. And there are lots of little moments that are wonderful. I have to admit I do miss the little extra focus on Xander that it started with (the first 2 chapters are my fave) but it's obvious he is still the House's champion.

This chapter feels unfocused and a bit rushed, it seems to cram too much into it with the introduction of so many characters & new plot threads IMO. I'm a little confused as to how Parker, Sydney & Broots could see the house & as to why Xander would let them in. He knows that Jarod has people after him after all, doesn't he? I guess I'll have to look at the previous chapter because I can't remember.

I do love Willow's flirting with Miss Parker, and her mild smackdown was brilliant. Giles' heart attack is worrying, not unexpected given his life, and I'm glad Jarod & Oz were there. This strong evidence of his mortality should be unsettling for the core gang. You're also naughty for leaving us guessing about the prophecy, ah well, more fodder for later.

After laughing out loud many, many times, I just have to sigh and say "I LOVE THIS STORY!" I love your writing, your humor, and all the fun insights that you keep tossing in. Gilligan's tie with Chaos? Totally! Things everyone knows but nobody talks about? Perfect! Willow going after Miss Parker? As strange as it is wonderful! Buffy with an older guy who is neither a father-figure nor a psychotic, and in no way gag-inducing? Icing on the cake, I tell you! I clamor for more. More, I say!

But PLEASE don't mess up the Jarod/Miss Parker romance thing, it's one of the kewler things about them.

BTW, I think a long time ago that Pretender fans deduced that Miss Parker's actual first name was "Melissa", with the nickname of "Miss". (Unless there was some canon change?)

Funny bit about Buffy finding out Baxter can communicate, then saying "Oh, that's OK, then" when she finds out Dawn already knew about it. And Baxter falling in love with the CAT is beyond hilarious.
