I still haven't managed to see Torchwood beyond the pilot episode, and I still loved this story. Even the painfully soulcrushing parts. Eventually. Thank you for writing. :)

This was just amazing, and long. It was impossible to stop reading it, so I read it in one go. I felt so bad for Buffy at first because it seemed like she put so much out there and never got anything in return, but then I started to feel for Ianto in the end.

This is me doing my part to support Lines in the COA’s. I figure a bump in the review count might up the profile of the story. Although why oh why you accepted nominations for three of your stories in the same category I’ll never know. Your work is so consistently outstanding picking a favourite is a real Sophie’s choice. Mine’s probably With Feathers but I love this one too.
What I admire most about the format of Lines is your economy. If I wrote this chapter it would be twice as long and half as good. You blur the boundary between prose and poetry in places. We get several decades of Buffy’s life in a few lines. Buffy trying to get to sleep is a great hook. The doctor waking her up feels very in character. I enjoyed the triangles line although didn’t you use it in Trinity as well? I have a real weakness for characters waking up and then finding their still awake and you pull it off masterfully here. The imagery associated with Buffy, the Doctor and the third side of their triangle is really evocative.

Thank you.
And the reason I accept so many nominations is that I feel rotten every time I turn one down because I think hey, there's someone out there that thinks this story is that good and I can't just ignore that'. I know I don't do myself any favors, but whatever. As long as I make myself and others happy with the crap I churn out, all is well in me-land.
Thanks for the support.
