I have a soft spot for Tom Riddle fics. You did a really great job in depicting him slowly changing because of Buffy. Oh this is going to be heart breaking in the next fic, isn't it?
You did a really good job of capturing all of the different characters' voices and showing growth and change, very impressive. I loved it :)

Overall a very enjoyable story with a very interesting pairing. I found the ending a bit abrupt though...hope all will be explained in the sequel which I am off read straight away. Thank you for writing and sharing.

I loved this story. For some reason this pairing kind of fascinates me (as does Buffy and most Slytherin pairings) and if you know of any other stories with this pairing please let me know. I really wish Buffy could have stayed, I mean the one time Tom's not stalking her and she gets thrown into a portal. I haven't read the second part yet to see if Lord Voldemort finds out that it was a Malfoy that sent Buffy away, but it would be great if he did since I'd love to see Lucius put into his place-I mean there's no way LV would be happy to know that he was manipulated into his "power". I would be interested to see how Tom would have turned out had he not lost Buffy.

a suggestion for the future...when you speak of a sequel, if you know the title, let us know so that we can bookmark it or at least write it down so we can keep an eye out for it...have been frustrated when someone mentioned a sequel and I could not find it

And if I had known the title of the sequel at the time of posting the final chapter, I would have posted it. As it is, I only figured out the title about ten minutes before I posted the first chapter on Saturday.
However, if you have the story tracked it shouldn't matter because, if a writer does it properly and adds a story to a series when creating said story, like I did, the new story in the series is immediately tracked. If you don't have it tracked and you want to look for it, go back to the original story and check out the last chapter. If there's a link to the new story, it means it's been posted.
I do post a whole new chapter on fanfiction.net informing people that I have posted the sequel, because a lot of people only track the one story and they don't have the nifty series function TTH has.

I have to say that I absolutely LOVE the story! This is my first Tom/Buffy story that I have read and it's really well done. I just hate the ending though, what a cliffhanger! Really hope that a sequel is in the works. :)
