Review of chapter "Girl From Gallifrey, Part I" from DarkestSlayer
Review:
When/is the Doctor going to making a appearance?
Comments from author:
Not in this story. This is really sort of an origin story for Time Lady Buffy, and there will be at least another story and probably two after this where the Doctor STILL doesn't appear, but after that he becomes a major figure.

Review:
So glad this finally updated! Not much to say yet, except I like what I've seen so far, and I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes.
Comments from author:
Goody! Yes it was a while between updating, that second chapter just wasn't working for the longest time. I knew what I wanted to say, but the right words weren't coming, or in the right order.

Hope you'll stick around and like what comes next.

Thanks for your review, I always like to know people are interested even if they don't have comments quite yet.

Review of chapter "Girl From Gallifrey, Part I" from dreameralways
Review:
Since you've gone with the plot time line where she's 17 I really hope that this isn't a pairing with the Doctor, though Joyce and the Doctor could be interesting if she gets her memory back. I'm curious as to whether "Buffy" remained because she finished growing up as Buffy or if it's because of the slayer.
I look forward to more.
Comments from author:
It's an eventual pairing with the Doctor, not in this story but in later stories when she's older. Yeah, I thought pairing her up with him too early would be squicky too. Also remember she's a Time Lord, so she's not actually 17 but the TL equivalent.

As for the other stuff, well that'l be revealed as the story progresses, though I will say you're guesses are very close.

Hope you'll like what comes next, thanks for reviewing!

Review:
so...Buffy 'dying' at end of s1 wasn't for long enough to trigger a regen? Plus she had the watch then, so she was human at the time? But apparently she's full Gall. now with 2 hearts. It's weird to think of her maybe dying then regenerating with a new face...that'd make things real awkward...
so she's unique: probably the only Gallifreyan Slayer ever!
Comments from author:
Buffy was human the first time she died, so no regeneration then, yes. And also yes, she's the first Gallifreyan Slayer, more will be said on that front in later chapters.

Thanks for your review.

Review of chapter "Living a Lie" from VillageOrchid
Review:
I like the idea of "just another timelord" rather than making her a specific, special one.
Comments from author:
Thanks! The first thing I decided when I came up with this was "Buffy is not Romana, Buffy has NO relation to Romana, or the Doctor, or anyone we've seen on DW." Glad you like it since it was a driving force behind the story.

Review:
Botht the first chapter and the artwork are great. I'm really looking forward to the next chapter - how Buffy deals with the two strands of memories, what her Gallifreyan family was like, what she remembers of school and the Time War. Was there anything she was particularly good at? Is the family TARDIS still around and if it is, would she be able to pilot it anyway? How do her abilities as the Slayer interact with her Gallifreyan DNA? Is the fact that she was a Time Lord in hiding the reason she maintained her abilities after her first death - a sort of pyschic replication, while the original 'Slayer essence' got passed onto Kendra and then Faith?

Looking forward to more.

Lol, Tanydwr
Comments from author:
Yay! Many, if not all, of those questions will be answered in the next few chapters (and it sounds to me like you're already guessing some of them). Glad you like the art, keep reviewing as the chapters are posted :)

Review:
I missed the initial introduction of chapter one but seeing that chapter two is up, I'd better get reading to keep up.
Evocative scenes pictured. Must start reading now. By the way, how many Suns did Gallifrey have anyway? There
are lots of reflections on the opposite sides of buildings from the visible Suns in the view shown..
Comments from author:
Glad I've caught your attention, and that it made you picture "evocative scenes." I'm not sure how many suns Gallifrey had, I think just one but I'll have to look it up now to be sure. Hope you stay interested, Thanks for the review.

OOO!!! I don't think I've seen TimeLord!Buffy before.... So, where in WhoVerse does this fit? Post 8 fersure, but is it pre-newWho S1? I mean, the Time War spans all time and space, but broadcast-wise, it's pre-2005 (when NewWho started airing). This seems to be post Becoming Part 2, in other words summer 1998, when Who was off TV, so technically, anything goes... Hey, it could even be 8th Doctor, except for the fact that I always thought he regenerated into 9 at the end of the Time War...Then again, TimeLord!Buffy + Tardis = Wibbly Wobbly Timey Wimey...
Comments from author:
We won't be seeing the Doctor in this one, so he could be off anywhere, anywhen. Buffy's stuck on Earth for the time being. Things wil be different when she does meet the Doctor, though.

Thanks for your excitement and review!

Review:
I love this! Great work mixing DW with Buffy. The only problem that you have is that families didn't have personal TARDIS', a TARDIS was actually a restricted item and most Time Lords had never actually been in one. The Doctor was put on trial by his people...twice for interfering in the time lines and, almost a token charge in the first trial, having stolen the TARDIS.

Sorry, I'm such a huge DW fan that the little details are important to me. I do love this story so far though and I hope you continue it.
Comments from author:
I'm glad you're enjoying it!

As far as Blissa's family TARDIS...it actually belongs to her mother, who went through the Time Academy and earned one before becoming the Warden of the Time Lord's only prison. I did a lot of research before starting this and found that there were so many contradictions in the canon, especially about who gets a TARDIS, that I can get away with Buffy's mother owning one that's sometimes used by other family members. I'll go into more detail on their family in the next installment.

Review:
Love the repetition of the impulse to 'run' and the feeling of being all alone, plus the discovery that two hearts can hurt just as much as Buffy Summers' one human heart.

This is a great way to start a crossover, with Buffy at arguably the lowest, worst moment in her High School years, discovering that "Oh, wait -- it's even worse than I thought: I'm not just alone in this world, but I don't even belong to this planet; I haven't just lost the man I loved and been kicked out of my home, but I've also lost a whole planet, a whole race of beings like me; . . . "!

Angsty, indeed -- but very well done!
Comments from author:
Thank you! I wanted to show that it wasn't just losing Angel that made Buffy run off - she's just had her world crumble benath her feet and has no one to talk to. She's in a really crappy place right now.
