Awesome idea, and I like the execution. An explanation of the genetics thing you were talking about would be nice, and I really really hope you continue the story! Thanks for a great read!

I'm really glad you started writing this story again.

As for burning down that gym... I think all the evidence would have to be circumstantial, so that's probably why she wasn't thrown in juvie?

Students might have hated her for killing the grading curve for them.

Teachers might be annoyed with her when she pointed out their mistakes, and the books' mistakes, in front of the whole class?

Language teachers would be annoyed that she knew the language they were teaching better than they. LOL!

Review:
I'm not sure I like her saying she's the Slayer when she's not. I recognise that it's probably the way to move the story along the way it did in the series, but with the change in Buffy, there must be a change in the story too, and not a subtle one. That said, I enjoyed the chapter.

"full of kids that may have looked, but were actually much younger than her"

Ohh, please, please, please don't let that be a justification for an Angel or Spike pairing. While both characters are interesting from a characterisation perspective, they both lead to inevitable self-destructive relationships (one is a mopey, brooding, paedophile of a stalker; the other is simply a sadistic bastard - with or without a soul). Surely there could be someone else out there for her...

Ha, imagine the Doc's reaction if he learns that Jack Harkness has been hitting on his daughter! Then again, he's also not really much of a match for her either.

Review:
So....doesn't that mean there's an "extra" slayer floating about somewhere? I suppose it works as, there was, the council didn't know about her or find her; Buffy went through her 'death' (luckily not regenerating) at end of S1; then the other slayer died and Kendra was called, she had a watcher who did notice; and nobody realized the Buffy death date/Kendra activation date didn't match all that closely?
Maybe...if Buffy 'dies' she regenerates partially? That would explain S5...

Review:
This story is building up brilliantly. Keep up the good work. The only thing I'm a bit concerned about though is the twin heartbeats. Can't vampires hear a heartbeat? Would the key work on a vampire? Hmm key, Key, Dawn. Makes me wonder what could be made of that; a key made flesh? Part of the tardis made flesh?
Comments from author:
Interesting theories. I just can't answer and questions without giving something big away. Glad you're liking the story! Thanks very much for the review.

Wow...just, wow...please keep going. What will happen if she meets Jack? 'Cause he landed in America centuries before the 21st century...just an idea...

The only problem I see is that Joyce, having been a companion to the Doctor, would maybe have been more accepting of the whole 'vampires are real' thing? Unless she knew Buffy was a real emotional mess, losing her father etc, and just thought she was having a delayed breakdown over it all?
Really makes me wonder where Dawn (eventually) fits into all this. If the monks cast a spell to make her "the slayer's sister" does that make her Gallifreyan? Talk about "the Impossible Child" ie title of first ever Dr Who ep. heh.
Poor Giles. Imagine if he eventually finds out her secret. And all along he thought she was just a California girl...

Yup, there are a lot of elements to consider. Can't say much for now, don't wanna ruin anything ;)

Review:
Hehe, I love it! If the Doctor didn't actually die though, how come she can't feel the link at all? Or is it just much much less from what he's done (it's been a while since I saw the end of Season 4 and can't remember exactly what he did)? The idea of Joyce having traveled with the Doctor before was awesome. I can picture this speeding along Joyce's divorce, although will the counsel still think Buffy was "Called," perhaps in reaction to sensing her in this time now?
Comments from author:
Hiya! Thanks lots for the review. Glad you're enjoying the story :) I think Joyce would have been an excellent companion. Questions will all be answered in time, that's all I can say ;) -Katie

Huh. Not bad. A wee bit confusing in the beginning, but otherwise, not too shabby. I like it. Kudos.

I like it. So she gets adopted, one wonders what Joyce tells Hank... and then gets Chosen as the slayer? ouch. Wouldn't she have two hearts though? ie maybe that explains her "fear of hospitals" she really just doesn't want any doctor getting a look at her?
