"Even the stars liked the dress, and they were notorious for being picky when it came to fashion."

Brilliant line- it encompasses Dru's outlook on life perfectly. I'm behind on The More Things Change, so I'm not sure how this connects (Duncan got bit I suppose?), but it was a very entertaining ficlet none the less. As far as I'm concerned, the more Dru the better!

Ahha! and a 'Yess!' It was Dru : )

Delightful glimpse into her head, scary as that place may be. I like the implications that an Immortal's blood reacts oddly for vampires, it gives and explanation why the vampires aren't out there hunting down Immortals to keep locked up somewhere as a combination dinner/stress relief/entertainment (After all, they'll heal from anything but ripping their head off... and my, but that's a dark and unhappy thought)

And since we already know that she and Spike traveled extensively, and that Darla did her little in and out of the family bit, it was also an interesting peek at the family dynamic of the fearsome four.

Overall, very enjoyable. I hope to see more glimpses into the events of 'The More Things Change' along these lines - not necisarrily Dru, but a look into things from another perspective, from an entirely different direction. Will we see more of Dru in the modern era? I have confidence that if we see more of her, it will be with equal style, and if we do not, the story will still unfold with delightful complexity and an enjoyable cast.

Jinni,
you never fail to blow me away with the quality of your work. When I read the bit of MTC ch 8 I thought - oooooooo Jinni could really do something cool with it, and there you have it.

You've captured what is a really bleak period for Dru & Spike, shown some real spark (pardon the pun) and given it inense color.

Huzzah!
