Review of chapter "Part 2" from ianquest
Review:
A very interesting story and a promising beginning, especially combining three of my favourite shows.

However, I would suggest you tone down the 'slut factor' for both Jack Harkness and Faith; both demonstrated that they're capable of a great deal of professionalism when the situation warrants it, and at no point in 'Buffy' did Faith ever go for a full on slut-bomb sexual attack like she did on Captain Jack. A quick grope on someone unsuspecting, especially if she thought they'd jump and get embarrassed? Sure! A full-on limpet-like attachment and /licking/? Not that I ever recall seeing. Also, keep in mind that this is supposedly after season 7; Faith has not only spent time in jail, but she's had plenty of time to do some growing up, and she's smart enough to realise that doing something like that right after walking into a crime scene would result in weapons being pulled and her and Xander being detained while the professionals tried to find out exactly which federal agents they were impersonating, and how they got the badges.

Sure, it's funny; but if the characters don't act even remotely like the ones in the show, who they're supposedly based on, then we may as well invent new names for them and call it original fiction.

Other than that nitpick, I'm looking forward to seeing more; all three of these shows fit well together, and I think your take on them will be a great deal of fun. Keep up the good work!

Thank you for reading my story and your review.
I'm sorry, you don’t agree with my characterization of Jack and Faith, but that is the way I view them. Jack is a flirt everywhere and every when he goes. He couldn’t even stop flirting during the possibility of the world ending. Yes, I agree, Faith has to be grown up in the years after prison, her way back to the “side of light” and her relationship with Robin Wood, but that doesn’t mean she have to loose all her fun ways, especially as she is single again. Faith is flirty in the same way as Jack. They both come on sometimes too strong. I also wouldn’t say a bit touching and one lick is enough to categorize a person as slutty. If you want to excuse her for not being shy and cautious, blame it on higher senses and Jack’s pheromones. What else? Sorry, I didn’t do it for the humour.
As for it not being seen on the screen: just because Faith didn’t come on this strong on-screen on the show, doesn’t mean she didn’t use this tactic off-screen. Even Buffy was sometimes very forward in her behaviour.
I don’t know where you get the impression of both, Faith and Jack, being others as professionals. Torchwood and the Scoobies have their own way of dealing with situations. That doesn’t mean showing of their guns every time something gets strange. That’s life for them. Flirting can also be used as distraction, like Jack following Tony around and getting a better look at what he is doing.
The only one I could have seen pulling their weapons are NCIS. But I think Tony is very aware of operating in a foreign land and being cautious... even if Faith came on to him in America I doubt that guns drawn, and arrest would be the way it was handle, besides Xander knew TW by name. NCIS would have taken the TW-reactions as model.
Yes, that’s my opinion to it. Thanks again for your review again but I happen to disagree.

Review:
Someone, somewhere, has got some facts wrong, and since you're using their facts, you've also got an error. Plague exists. Plague is active, and endemic in the Western United States in the ground squirrel populations and other small animals like bats and skunks. Human cases crop up intermittently. None have gone as far as the transmutation into pneumonic plague which is about 100 percent lethal if untreated and is passed in droplets of moisture from it's host's lungs and spreads like the common cold or flu. It's currently showing up as bubonic plague which is about 60 percent lethal if untreated, and is spread by flea bites from the fleas that live on the infected host animals. Plague in the natural form has several antibiotics that are effective against it--no bets on that if it's a form tinkered on for biological warfare. The responsible bug is Yesenia Pestis formerly Pasturella Pestesis before it was renamed to place it properly in the classification with its other relatives. Diagnosis and treatment guidelines can be found in the Infectious Diseases section of the Merck Manual, which is usually where I look it up since I own a copy. I can't wait to find out what happens next in the story. I hope your muse and schedule will allow you to write and post more chapters sometime soon. Keep up the good work. Thank you for the information. I changed some things accordingly nevertheless being unsure about it.

I know the plague still exist, but in Europe, to my knowledge, it’s not as active as in other regions of the world and as such this circumstance isn’t as well known, as maybe to people in the USA, Asia or Africa. I would call it more obscure knowledge or knowledge for specific professions. As such I had a long thinking about changing it or not. In my opinion the Torchwood members, except Owen, wouldn’t necessary have known the fact that the sickness still exist. Plague is usually seen or taught as horror of the Middle Age what gives the impression it doesn’t exist anymore, except in labs. If you include the reactions of the doctors in “1.13 End of Days”, Gwen’s disbelief is reasonable. Gwen and Ianto experienced it as a part of Abaddon, not a real 21st century problem. The plague was imported from another time. Jack may or may have not have experience with the epidemic. Yep, these are all my reasons of insecurity to this theme. *G*

I hope you enjoy the story anyway - I have the impression you do.

Thanks for the reviewing.

Oh my goodness, I haven't laughed that hard for so long. Faith, I love her. Jack has finale meet his match. And I love it was Ianto she went for. Eye-candy it suits him so well. I have a felling Xander is the only one besides Angel who can make Faith behave.I do hope Faith makes a return and flirts some more with Ianto.
Comments from author:
No fear, Faith will return and flirting her way through life. No idea, if Xander really has a chance of rein her in but he will probably try his best.

Thank you for reviewing and glad to have you brought to laughter.
