I like how your story is coming together. I always enjoy a story where we get to see the oddness that is Sunnydale from a normal person from outside the influence of the Hellmouth. Plus, anyone who hates the little Ferengi can't be a bad guy. Lol!
I'll admit, it's been a while since biology class, but, in order:
1) the largest organ is the skin. 2) no-one discovered it, Charles Darwin *theorised* it by running comparisons on creatures' development in isolated and different enviromental conditions, leading him to propose that creatures adapt to better survive and thrive.
I'll leave the rest, but I am interested in how it goes..

Interesting beginning. The way Joyce seemed to just rush off seemed a bit forced, but what the heck? Maybe she had something to do back at the house. I wonder if Mr. Smyth and Mrs. Summers might end up in a relationship. That should drive Buffy nuts. Lol!
