This is superb.

Father Grigori is almost enough to redeem psycho-priests everywhere. (Between us, and as a note to other HL2 players, you notice his red sneakers? Those were a sign of rebellious youth in Eastern Europe during the glasnost era, and a superb piece of detail on the part of Valve, I have always felt.)

It's a bit unusual having the infamous Dr. Freeman speak, but since this is an ensemble piece rather than a one-man show, it's a good move. Besides, if he didn't speak Andrew would be making with the Chrono Trigger riffs.

Considering the size of the Combine portal, it's a fair bet the Very Slow Teleport won't happen. Hunters are on limited deployment, but the Lambda Resistance are in MUCH better condition, so it's a fair bet that after much crawling around with Slayage instead of Antlions they're going to be blasting their way out of New Prospect (sorry, I just had to translate that name at least once!) Given the apocalyptic tendencies of all Scooby situations, I have a NASTY feeling of what is trying to come through at the Citadel.

This is all speculation, of course.

I adore your work (and am, clearly, a big fan of the Half-Life universe), so this story has been a blast, Bat, and I thank you.

Grigori is one of my favorite characters in a series that is loaded with good writing. New Prospect is probably going to need even more repair, and nothing bad is going to come out of that portal...

Excellent. I can't wait to read what happens next. I'm looking forward to the big fight on Highway 17 and then what happens next. The way you've been blasting through what took hours of gameplay makes me think that there are only a few chapters left. I honestly hope you make this last much longer (so long as you finish it)

Loved the addition of the gremlins. Also love how the demons, i.e. Polgaras, joined with our crew to save the earth. Nice creativity.

Thanks for updating! I'd forgotten about this story, but its good stuff! Half the problem Buffy fic's have is finding a good apocolypse... you sure set them down in a doozey of one though!

Willow's Babble got me thinking of some sort of evil overlord convention with Al Gore as a guest speaker. "Don't bomb cities, instead planet massive numbers of trees.... no one will see it coming until the city is overgrown and it will offset the carbon from your tanks!"

this fic is looking great so far keep it up. and i agree that having an actual writer write the plot to a video game makes all the difference.

Yeah, another good one is Warren Spector who was responsible for System Shock 1&2 and Deus Ex. Actually, a Deus Ex crossover with someone like Dawn or Willow could be pretty awesome.
