Review of chapter "Chapter Thirty Two" from BlueEyedBrigadier
Review:
Why doesn't it surprise me that Wallace Breen is less than anal about his lab procedures? Certainly explains how Gordon and the Lambda Resistance managed to kick his and the Combine's asses in the canonical game if he is really lax when it comes to making sure his ass is protected properly.

;D

Amazing stuff, batzulger! I am really glad to see this story is being continued with, though it continues to make me irritated that Valve hasn't either made more HL stuff in several years (either a third add-on or a third full game). There needs to be more Freeman Fun!

I'm really interested in what Willow refers to as "the big guns". Should be interesting.

I just got to wondering, "what are the Wolf, the Ram and the Hart thinking and doing while all this is going on?"

Ok, the phrase about the slayer "taking off ahead of them" gives me a play on the words and I came up with a slayer fighting a foe with multiple heads "taking off a head of them".

Ok, I'm officially of the confused again. Breen isn't the guy with the red tie & blue suit? Who is then?

Sorry, but it just occurred to me that it's to bad Xander didn't dress up as "The Hulk" on the fateful Halloween (assuming that was before this all happened). They could sure use one now.

I think I don't like Mr. Redtie... for want of a better name.

Oh wait, is he Mr. Breen? Sorry, it's 4:13 in the morning and I just got up. All these new (to me) characters are confusing.

Review:
Never having been much good at first person shooters and not much better at 3rd person shooters I gravitated to role playing games and ended up in 01 playing Everquest. I'm still at it 13 years later although the game has been watered down a lot for the newbies. They put in a tutorial and let you have npc assistants called mercenaries and run faster/fast mounts. The upper levels 75 on seem to slow way down in advancement unless you can actually play often enough to find friends and meet for raids on high level special quests. Otherwise you have to slog it out to reach higher levels but you can do a lot of exploring to find more cool places to adventure. Someone supposedly counted the quests about 8 or 10 years ago and there were already 40,000 of them. No matter how much you play you can't do them all. I've only seen one fairly good novel based on EQ and can't even remember the title or author. Oops.

This story is a lot like a sci-fi war Baen novel. If you ever want to get published you should email the people over at Baen a copy of this. Obviously this can't be published, but it will give them an idea of your work.

Cool, I haven't read this one before! Found another good story to track :)

I'm going to have to go through more of you collection. I've avoided many crossovers like Half-Life before because I was unfamiliar with them, but you've done a great job of making the characters come to life. And the familiar Buffy group is always fun to watch!

Thanks for a good read.

It's a lack of roof-ness. It's a roof deficit! Maybe it's a glass ceiling for ceilings.

And they freed the being I had a sneaking suspicion they were going to free... Breen thought things were going to shit *before* this. His day just went from "Gone straight to hell" to "I might as well shoot myself and avoid completely the massive amount of pain and blunt force trauma I am about to endure". :)
