Why change him into a vampire when he already possesses most of the gifts??? No flames, just asking. Great start so far though.

He does have gifts of his own, but he's not immortal. I'm not sure that any of the Cullens could honestly let Connor grow old and die...unlike with Bella, who, in Twilight, was only involved with Edward, Connor is a member of the family from birth. He has incredibly strong ties to all of them and his very presence has had quite an impact on all of them - Darla saw to that...:)
