Review of chapter "Interlude: Crossings" from TwistedSlinky
I hadn't realized how much I miss this series until I reread this interlude. I love it! Love the way you brought Spike into the storyline, and the way the characters are playing off of one another. All around great work.

Review of chapter "Prologue: Free Will" from CPTSkip
Yay! Tara is still alive. For an unusual type of "alive" of course. Boo! She's no longer with Willow. Thank you for continuing your interesting story. As far as future pairings, don't sweat the fine details. Hand holding, a smoochie with another character once in a while is just fine. No need for a whole dissertation on the Karma sutra. Lol!

*bows head* Thanks so much! I mean, she's not going to take a vow of chastity or anything, I just won't go into great'll be like an off-handed mention, really.

Anyhow, thanks again. I hope to get this next chapter up soon!

Review of chapter "Prologue: Free Will" from (Moderator)Ava
The previous snippets were interesting and your descriptions of Tara's thoughts and responses seemed very on spot to me. Though I only have a vague memory of Forever Knight, it's been years since I watched it, so I can't tell you how you did with Lacroix. I do think it's refreshing to see a Tara centered story though so I'll be tracking this.

One small suggestion, you might want to create a series for all of these stories. Then the reader is given a link to the series list at the top of the story if they click on any of the stories in the series. It would make it easier for your readers to ensure they read them in order. Just a thought.
Comments from author:
Thanks so much! I'm always worried when writing for Tara, being that I so rarely write for her (and this series is the first Tara centered stories I've EVER done). So that means a lot!

Actually, I tried to make this a series too little, too late. You see, when I wrote and put up the first one, I wasn't aware I would be doing a second piece...let alone a chapter. When I tried to edit them and make them a series...I couldn't find the place that had been there before. Any help, because I would love to do that? Thanks again!

I love this take on a pre-sixth season Tara and how you haven't brought up Darth Willow yet (either because no one's aware or Lacroix is too careful for that). Everyone seems very in-character and I can't wait to see where you take these characters. Please ignore people who don't take the time to grow in a story line. They should be more trusting in an accomplished writer such as yourself. Excellent job all around. I have no complaints or criticism at all. I just can't wait for more.

Review of chapter "Prologue: Free Will" from JasonBarnett
I'm actually very disappointed. You written Tara into a loveless existence that she doesn't want.

That's not very conduicive to any positive stories. Is there any reason she shouldn't just kill herself right off? I mean this series is primarily about her isn't it? So if she's never going to be truly happy with someone she loves, and Tara seems the sort who would include a loving relationship as a part of happiness, then why should I as the reader, or even you as the author continue?
Comments from author:
Obviously, you paid not one bit of attention to the Buffy series...AT ALL. Tara did not have a loving relationship until she met Willow, and, oh, I don't know, she was alive, wasn't she? Or did I miss something?

And what the hell says that all stories have to positive? I mean, is life always positive? Really? I don't know what fairytale you're living in, but jeez I wish I was in it! And maybe she really feels like she has a soul, thus maybe she believes suicide would be wrong and an insult to who she was as a human. And, well, Lacroix is old and powerful as hell, if he didn't let her die from a gunshot, what makes you think he'd let her commit suicide right off the bat? Sure, he killed Nick at the end of the series, but how old was Nick? Really?

And in both the series and my one-shots that precede this story (did you even read those?), she was willing to leave Willow to be happy. If you have a problem with the canon, that's fine, but don't bring it to me. And why does a story need a romantic pairing? Why can't she be happy in a friendship? Is your view of life so narrow?

Narrow-minded, not well thought-out arguements are not appreciated. Don't come back. I can make due without you.

Have a wonderful, fantasy-filled day.
