Review of chapter "As You Were, Revisited" from Harry
Review:
Riley, when you deal with people like this, you WILL stand at attention, do as they say, and not ask questions! These men are some of the best in the world, and to mess with them, is asking for a death warrant put out on you!

Review:
I like this story, its well written and funny like your other shorts, but only when i reread it today did I notice your thoughts on a continuation. Personally I think its a great idea and xander would probably be a good fit with patty clark, I am a huge fan of tom clancy and have most of his books so I know the jack ryan verse pretty well and think a follow up to this would work best in the rainbow6 timeline. You could have the hellmouth closed after s7 and the scoobs move to england, xander would make a good handyman for the hereford base and buffy could be a liason between the slayers council and the british and american military as well as being dings wife. You could even have the rainbow teams laying the smackdown on twilights illegal military. Looking forward to more of anything you write, hopefully soon.
Comments from author:
Sorry, but I don't think I could handle the Twlight storyline, and besides, since Buffy didn't die in season 5, there was no First storyline in season 7.

Xander being the handyman for Rainbow is pretty cool, though.

Review:
Ah.... the joy of seeing Riley Finn put in his place.

He was so full of himself I'm surprised he could look in a mirror.

And I'm REALLY glad you did away with the "Buffy bangs Spike" storyline from canon. One seriously stupid idea.

(Then again, good chunks of later seasons of Buffy were stupid... jmho)

Anyway - I enjoyed it. Great read. (And the only Tom Clancy I'm familiar with are the three movies made! I STILL enjoyed it)
Comments from author:
Riley was mildly irritating in season 4, but it wasn't until season 5 that I wanted Spike's chip to malfunction so he could snap that idiotic neck. "My girlfriend doesn't depend on me enough. Boohoo, I'm gonna go risk getting turned so she has to stake me!"

Spuffy *shudder*. Not in my happy world of denial.

Review:
As a Riley-hater ... not /quite/ enough salt in the wound, but highly entertaining and amusing. And seeing Buffy in a non-screwed-up relationship is nice.

And a longer, more involved story that also gives /Xander/ (who I am rather partial to) a non-screwy relationship? Please more!

And yeah, the moving off the hellmouth would be cool. Buffy and the Scoobies have done their time and then some by this point. Let the new girl handle it. I can't see Buffy or Xander giving up the whole demon asskicking gig permanently, but a looooooooong vacation (or being roving buttkickers, rather than staying in one spot and trying to deal with the stuff that goes down at Demon Grand Central Station aka the Hellmouth) would be good.
Comments from author:
Someday...I like Buffy and Ding, so coming back to their relationship and expanding the story for a new love for Xander is definitely possible.

I have no idea who those people are, but this is a well-written story. If you want to leave it here, it works. If you want to continue it, that works, too. Thanks for sharing!
Comments from author:
The Tom Clancy books are very interesting - even if I have to skim over the technical parts. I'm not too worried about continuing this series right now.

Just re-reading this and wanted to tell you that I, personally, would love more of this because I adore the pairing of Buffy & Ding. :)
Comments from author:
I have it on my waaaay back burner as a possible future fic. They are just too cute and deadly to ignore forever.

Review:
poor Riley...rofl...never liked that guy :)
Comments from author:
Pfft, Riley got what he deserved. Actually, if I were feeling truly vindictive, I would have had Sam walk in with Clark so she could tear him apart for what she overheard standing outside by the doorway.

Just found this and I love it. Love Buffy/Rainbow Six crossovers, especially with her paired with Ding. Love the idea for a sequel. Hope you decide to write more. :)

Glad you liked it. Maybe someday.

Review:
Regarding Sally Ryan's age - _Red Rabbit_, the sequal to _Patriot Games_, takes place in late summer 1982, around the time of the attempted assassination of Pope John Paul II. At that time, she's around 4-5 years old. If you stick with the time frame established in this book, then she's about three years older than Xander.

Jack Jr. comes the closest to Xander's age.
Comments from author:
I guess my brain is stuck seeing her as that frightened little girl in 'Patriot Games' sliding down the roof with Harrison Ford as her daddy. Thanks for the wake up call.

To be honest, I'd just about forgot about this series with everything else going on. I'll have to think about where to go with it when I get the chance.

Loved it...may I suggest you read kimbclar's Tom Clancy x-over story? Sooo good, even though it's incomplete. I like the idea of Buffy getting some kind of pay for her work. Hawaii sounds divine! :D Now about those author's notes: Say what?!? XANDER deserves a better girlfriend? Anya was always a great girlfriend to Xander--even when he was a crappy boyfriend to her. So if anyone deserves a better lifemate, I vote Anya. So there! LOL
Comments from author:
I love ALL of kimbclar's stuff! It actually *is* Buffy-centric! I just have to figure out when in the Jack Ryan 'verse this all takes place. I have an idea of how to get rid of Dawn - nicely - so Buffy can have her own life. Just as soon as I figure out how to get rid of the Scoobies nicely.

Yes, I was pandering to a reviewer; I admit it. But they did bring up a couple valid points about Anya's behavior. She never did make that much of an effort to learn about tact or other people's feelings. For being the vengeance demon for scorned women, she should have picked up a *little* of how to act among humans. How would you feel about Anya/Spike? With them sticking around to help the new Slayer out?

Review:
Great fun, messing with both Riley & Spike! If this is pre-Rainbow what age is Sally Ryan?

Imagine the security checks just to pick up the girlfriend, if Sally & Xander were dating after Jack was President.

Well done & thanks.
Comments from author:
I'm going to ignore the major ewww! factor here since Xander is 20 and even when Jack became President I think she was only like 15. And this is before that! That's why I was thinking Patty Clark. She was somewhere in her medical training during 'Debt of Honor' so I'm guessing that she's pretty close in age to the Scoobies. I think who Xander ends up with - if she's a crossover girl - will depend on which Jack Ryan 'verse book it's during. Man, now I have to go back and re-read those again. (dramatic sigh) The sacrifices I make for my art!

Always did like Ding. Good choice for Buffy.

And I think that McWanker....I mean Riley, was actually a Major. But I can see him getting demoted to Captain for the Initiative crap.
Comments from author:
I just figured there was a reason for the 'Captain Cardboard' comments. You're right, he'd be lucky not to lose his commission altogether for deserting - even though he was on the right side.

Very nice ship choice! Love Ding. As for the group moving and getting more Buffy/Ding shippyness, I'll call U-haul! Good job. Spike was very good here too.
Comments from author:
Yeah, 5+ years on the front lines is more than enough for any warrior.

Thanks for the kind words.

I would love to see Faith with Ryan. She is one of my favorite characters.
As to Xander I think he needs a cross between Willow and Buffy with the woman beings smart, strong and straight.
Lisa
Comments from author:
Well, I'm not sure what Cathy would have to say about her husband and Faith. Not to mention Faith as the stepmom to 2 kids? And for Xander...a non-demon would be a nice thing too.
