Review of chapter "Boats" from Alexis
Review:
Interesting. I really like the relationship between Spike and Willow - he needs someone to look after, and she needs someone who won't judge her dark past or her decision to be a better person. I'm looking forward to seeing where you go with this.

Intriguing. I'm actually kind of glad that this is set in the far future without any other Scoobies waiting to interrupt. Makes a nice change of pace.

Review of chapter "Boats" from AllenPitt
Review:
For a minute there I thought all the dead would rise as zombies. Or that it was a Resident Evil situation. Doesn't seem to be Dark Angel though-that was an EMP, no mention of biologicals. But they did say that the US lost a few time zones (the ones in the middle were all depopulated).
Hopefully Willow's magic still works? Clearly vamps still exist. The bio agent whatever it was, was amazingly powerful. Doesn't look good for the rest of the world. Tech stopping at the same time is even worse in a way. Anyone at sea in a ship would be floating without power, even if safe from the gas.
Martians?
So--anyone else from the 20th still around somewhere? Angel, Illyria? We're all hoping Harmony is ok, of course (kidding).

Review:
Ack! I hope I didn't kill the progress with my other review.

This has really captured my imagination and I've caught myself thinking about this a couple of times a week.
It's been really great so far, and I am really looking forward to where it goes, (even a show I don't know, like Dark Angel) because it's a world I can see and through Spike and Willow, won't need explained through any eyes but theirs.
:)

Review of chapter "Prologue" from Hawkehunt
Review:
This is why for anything so ridiculously powerful and life-changing, witchy-lawyer-types simply aren't enough. Good computer programmers with a solid grasp of the English language would have caught that slip right away, if they were were looking.
Comments from author:
Too true, man. You'd think Willow would have caught that but, hey ... nobody's perfect, eh?

Thanks for reading and commenting!

Review of chapter "Heavy" from GeekGoddess
Review:
Interesting...I know a story has grabbed me when I am thinking about it during my regular day. This is good and I can't wait to see what happens next. I am hoping that Willows' powers have been unbinded and she remains immortal. Are we going to find out what happened to the world? Who did it?
Comments from author:
That's such a huge compliment! Thank you!

Intriguing, and I like the idea of at least two more survivors, thanks to a silly old outmoded bomb shelter in the basement. I hope Eliza and Chester make it to the pier.

Review of chapter "Heavy" from darkhunter
Review:
I'm loving it. How about Dark Angel. If you remember. Dark Angel's world was created when a bomb went of and made the US a 3rd world country. Willow and Spike could be living through the bombing.
Comments from author:
That actually fits rather nicely, doesn't it? Hmm....

Review:
Damn but I am totally intrigued!

My brain is churning all sorts of anime titles, ohhh the thousands and thousands of ideas... however, don't smack me too hard, as clishe'd as it is... Firefly may be a possibility.
hear me out.

Any space tech would have been safe from the wave of emp/magic. It would also make *sense* why the *lack* of hypertech available to the common man in the show.
We have all non-space farers sitting on useless junk and pricey 'collections and antiques'. The chemicals act as if they 'salted' the earth. Literally. The plants start dying same as the animals. soon oceans are becoming barren, even the trenches and deep levels are loosing life.
The people on the space stations, studying this, don't want to risk exposure, so few if any will risk trips to the planet. Earth is dying, and will be loosing ozone to the point of no viable breathable air or human sustaining temperatures within the decade. No liquid water soon after that.

What people and old relics can be salvaged are, guns, old swords, small paintings... that's what wasn't destroyed by the un-known and now likely permanent mystery of the "Destruction of Earth". People had kept them for memories, now they were all entire towns would be remembered by.

So we have ships... and low tech kept for memories. We have all supplies being harvested and used to create generation ships, not personal weapons... all development is channeled through desperation and need to survive into getting the hell away from the hell that was home... trying to get to a planet, any planet.

Because by the time everything is tallied, every man woman, and the few children... is now a precious gene, in a not incredibly large pool.
And they're running out of space, and humans aren't built for long term space stays.
Thus the Exodus, and Spike is probably the only Vampire to make it off the planet.
Willow may not have oodles of magic... but her mind was her first weapon. Her first skill was tech. To save everything she knows, she'll help move heaven, or more likely, she'll move humans to a new planet.

PS: I really think Willow's bound magic was tied to the Planet, and the actions of balance on the planet... Don't hate me... but the Gas was supposed to just wipe out some areas... the emp effect bombs just disrupt major cities... the magic grasped it, and amplified it by thousands of times... Basicly, since the magic was chaos and blanace, hellmouth energies too... it would seek to doo all those things at once... with an end to most evil demonic lines and the slayer lines... this was it's first chance in nearly a century to pack in a real punch. and boy howdy, did it ever.

Also, feel free to shoot me for being a female Andrew... and I only wrote it all cause you poked my brain with a lovely fic stick.

That is quite the review! Very detailed and all encompassing. I was blown away the first time I read it and have been putting off answering because there's so much to it, but I still haven't come up with what to say. You gave me a lot to think about!

Thanks so much for all of it!

so, zombies?? cool!
Comments from author:
Zombies? Well, I had thought of doing a Shaun of the Dead cross, but I'm no good at actual comedy. Though, this fic will lighten up a little bit, I think. But - so far, no zombies:(

Review of chapter "Green" from whirleeq
Review:
Hmm... I tell ya, I know I originally said star trek, but... this second chappie doesn't fit the bill, unless you do some time travel shenanigans... but now I'm thinking Matrix or Terminator... machines fight back, and decide to wipe out the humans... :)

Would make sense why a biological agent suddenly causes technology to stop responding... specially if said technology became self aware... heh... maybe it became self aware because of willow's power (gonna keep pushing that theme ;) )

Don't usually like willow het pairings, but willow/john connor if you go the terminator route is kinda hot... so is willow/that chick terminator (summer glau).

:)
