This was great! I'm really enjoying the series. I liked that Xander followed the exact letter of what Chris told him could and could not be done - and still allowed Vin to feel more comfortable while stuck in the hospital. "Gone walkabout" indeed!
I usually like Chris, but he went a bit overboard. Vin's correct, he's not a kid, they didn't do anything wrong, and I think Chris owes both he and Xander an apology for his attitude!
Having Xander show the kids the Scooby Dance was hysterical! That Ezra got "caught out" as well, was a sweet highlight.
You've been doing an excellent job - do keep up the terrific work - and thanks for sharing.

I have read through this entire series and I just love it! I am a huge Mag7 fan and I really enjoy the idea of Ezra as Xander's dad. I hope that you are planning to continue. The relationship you've built between Xander and Vin is so much fun. All of the guys are in fine voice throughout the series. I admit to hoping that some of the other Scoobies showup to meet the seven in future stories. Have you thought about posting links to some of the Mag7 communities on Live Journal because I'm sure many mag7 fans would enjoy finding these stories?

After taking Mother through multiple hospitalizations as well as rehab for an amputation and severe strokes, I can testify that it gets *boring*. Hell it was watching Discovery Channel and the home decorating shows like Christopher Lowell as an alternative to the other drek while Mother was in ICU for three weeks and unable to move much at all that got us hooked on those shows, which paid off when Mother became blind and wheelchair-bound (and later bed-bound before her death which was at home by her request), and we could use the shows to keep her oriented to time and place, and on the rare occasion I had to go into the regional hub city, I could call her and tell her that by X show I'd be home because we could both hear her TV, and I could look at my watch and calculate where the travel time would fall in the show pattern.
I'm eagerly looking forward to reading the next story in the series. I hope your muse and schedule will allow you to write and post more chapters on more stories sometime soon. Keep up the good work. Zafaran {mailto:} zafaran {at} fastmail {dot} fm
