Wow. I got chills reading that. Amazing story, and I love the idea of Simon's father having to deal with the aftermath of his decisions. This was great! Thanks for sharing!

That is a perfect ending - if you were going to end it. Since you're not going to then it's the perfect beginning to what I'm sure will be an amazing work. I love Simon's new-found voice - maturity, wisdom and regret all laced in there perfectly and the image of a bare-footed River and child is just gorgeous. I'm tracking this.
