This is a Sam Carter/Xander Harris fic that actually works! It would be worth it to expand it or write a follow-up. I very much like the grown up Xander that is presented here, and in so few lines also. Well done.

Nice story, well worth the read, I would love if you would continue it. Quick question though, I didn't really follow the later seasons of Stargate, when is this story set and what assignment did Sam accept that she doesn't go through the Stargate anymore? Is it canon or is this story set after the end of the series? Thanks!

That was wonderful! I'm kind of interested in how Xander's resignation and 11 year stay in Africa affected his friendships. And Sam just has the weirdest luck in men! I greatly enjoyed the fic. Thank you for sharing.
Nice, and it can definitely stand alone but I'd love to see a back & forth cell phone relationship start (sort of like a pen pal with each chapter being whoever's turn it was to call).
I didn't quite get where the bar was located. Is this Nevada and is the job Carter talked about taking the one heading up Area 51?
Why did Xander come back to the US for just a few months? If he's going to be continuing his 'mercenary' ways, then I'm assuming he won't be hooking back up with the Council.

Well, I certainly hope that your Muse inspires you (i.e. "kicks your butt") and MAKES you update sooner than you say you intend :-) I would defintely like to see more of this story!
