Neat explanation for the two lines of vampires. I think it's fascinating the ways we all come up with to justify the coexistence of the two legends. Darla was very interesting, as we rarely see her portrayed as a young vamp in fics. The edge of tentativeness and caution fits very nicely with the manipulative vixen from the show. All in all, excellent.
