Review of chapter "Well, it wasn’t for the amenities." from FireWolfe
Review:
This really needs an update. Sadly I would love to see Buffy as immortal. She deserves to have it eventually. She might actually find happines then as she could slay or not as desired because new slayers would be called :)
Comments from author:
I know. I've been a bit busy between two jobs, kids, building a small business, and publishing my first novel. I'm going to try and update some of my open stories here in the next few weeks once the convention this weekend is over and while I'm in the prewriting stage for the next novel.

If Giles jinxed them why are they pounding of Xander? Hint:" "Xander said instead of " "Giles said. Otherwise pound on Giles.
Comments from author:
I was actually trying to reference the part of the episode, "School Hard," which this part of the story is set during, where Xander says Buffy will be fine as long as nothing bad happens and the girls call him a jinx without having to lift dialogue straight from the transcript. Guess I failed.

Now to ponder a fix... Maybe if I have Xander reference the offending phrase.

Review of chapter "Scourge of Europe" from RevDorothyL
Review:
Interesting!

Elizabeth is an OC, I assume, since I don't remember anyone on "Highlander" like that, and after Methos and his fellow Horsemen, Cassandra seemed to be about the next oldest Immortal still around.
Comments from author:
Thank you.

And yes, Elizabeth is an OC. She was inspired by my musing over what triggered the rise of Death, and I didn't want to write yet another blank Scoobie is really a 5000 year old immortal fic. I hope you enjoy.

Any chance of an update.
Comments from author:
I'm working on it, believe it or not. My computer has been in and out of the shop for the past three months, so I haven't had much time to work on it. I only currently have computer access because Hubby is running some errands, and I was able to swipe his laptop for a few minutes.

Once my laptop is up and running with any sort of regularity, I'll be alternating between updates to this story and Unforeseen Fate to keep my fiction skills up while working on the nonfiction e-book I'm supposed to have out by mid November. That's what has taken up what little time I've had with my own computer these past few months since there's a deadline there.

> a series of badly timed events had us each thinking the other had died

That sounds... Shakespearean. :)

I don't think I read the earlier story this is based on. Looking forward to see where you go with this one.

It's probably a good thing you didn't read the last version. It was really bad.

Thankfully I've learned some things about characterization and story structuring in general in the past couple years. Plus, the further into the story we get, the farther it is from the original version anyway.
