The last part of the story bothers me. I'd love to see a followup to this. Suppose that the Wayne family had a long standing relationship with the council and the Scoobies came back to Gotham City to beg for funds. How would Wayne respond?

Love the story, love the attitude (on the part of Xander and Faith, et al), and love the final 'surprise' Faith left on the Batmobile, the story of which might be expected to cheer Dawn up considerably.

Lol! Loved your story. I actually felt sorry for the flying rodent. And I agree with Xander. Mr. Thoker should be introduced to a 50 caliber round. But I bet Xander or Faith could make it a head shot rather than center of mass at that distance. Lol!
Incredible and definitely my attitude towards the whole idea.
The Dark Knight, I always found to be a pale imitation of the old Shadow. It has the same flavor and genre, but it lacks the follow-through of the chrome-plated automatic-wielding Shadow.
The Joker was a joke by his third appearance. A guy that insane and dangerous would have been terminated with predjudice. Hell a cop would have done it, claiming he was shot while escaping... ninety-three times, adn the judge would have given him 2 years for accidental manslaughter, or discharge of a firearm in public.
And Batman, while he walks a dificult moral bridge, needs to lighten up. He needs to kill someone really evil just to lower his paranoia level a bit. Can anyone actually imagine him having friends he trusts (that haven't worked for him since he was a toddler!), or support he counts on?
He makes Angel seem like Barry Manilow. And Angelus slaughtered about a hundred thousand people. And puppies and kittens. And Willow's goldfish!
Good story.

To be frank, Bruce with the suit can really hold his own against Faith and Caridad, and in case He can't do that, he can run veeeery fast... and fight dirty, even dirtier than Faith or Xander without the suit. As a matter of fact, Batman IS the master of dirty fighting. Sorry, man, but The Council attitude in this fic was really arrogant, although, is a good crakfic.
See ya!!! > >
Actually you're wrong. Faith,Xander and the rest of the council would fight a hell of a lot dirtier than Batman ever would or could.
They do this almost on a nightly basis. Fighting "dirty" has become second nature to them because of who and what they are fighting. It would take an conscious effort for either Xander or Faith to not outright kill or maim Batman in any sort of fight because they have become so used fighting things that aren't human, they've would've nearly forgotten what's it like to fight someone who's basically human.
In other words, they wouldn't mentally see Batman as being human in a fight, but as some sort of unknown demon and treat him accordingly.
