I really enjoyed this. I am curious what it is Michael thought Buffy was an operative for... you wrote his voice very well and I'd love to see this continue :)
Comments from author:
Glad you liked it. Buffy's not an operative, she's an asset and something/one Michael is collecting to make his assignment easier. Now his assignment is another story entirely. ;) Thank you for taking the time to review.

Wow -- Michael not showing his best side in this encounter. Can we assume this was before he got burned and became a freelance do-gooder?
Hoping there's a sequel in which Buffy gets to kick his butt for this!
Comments from author:
He is and he isn't. I'm not really seeing a different side of him. We're just seeing him use his manipulative and calculating abilities on someone who isn't a bad guy.
It does take place before he was burned and nope, no butt kicking. Michael's smart enough to *not* let Buffy know his true motives. ;)

Well done. Your characterization of Michael was perfect. I also loved the not-sleeping-with-Buffy-due-to-drunkenness. Please continue this! What did he want from Buffy anyway?
Comments from author:
Thank you! Is it odd to say I can hear him in my head when I write his internal thoughts? If it is, pretend I didn't type that. ;) I can see Michael being that much of a gentlemen and sleeping with a woman while she's drunk usually isn't the quickest way to her heart.
The wants are for another time and possibly another story. Thank you for taking the time to review!
1) OMG! I love you for writing this! It was so great!
2) Awesome job with the format. It was totally in style with how Burn Notice is written. Great choice for the piece.
3) I adore that he did not sleep with her while drunk, even taking into consideration he was using it to get into her good graces. And overall Michael's characterization was very well done. (I adore him.)
4) You absolutely MUST continue this or even make it into a series of one shots.
5) Again, I LOVE IT!

1) LOL Thank you!
2) I have a soft spot for Michael's internal monologues and I have to give them a chance myself. Glad to hear it worked.
3) I don't think Michael would have slept with her regardless. I do think he has that streak in him that makes him want to do the bad thing. It's one the of the reasons I find in compelling rather then a complete arse. ;)
4) There will be more Burn Notice. Not entirely sure it will be this verse though, but thanks for the pretty compliment of wanting to read more.
5) Thank you for taking the time to review!

I thought this was well written and that we get a definite feel for Michael's voice in that internal monologue that gives us so much insight into either Michael or the necessities of the job. While I feel for the job and the tough choices, this might be the first time that I didn't like Michael and that might be what makes it the most realistic. I have crossed my fingers for a Burn Notice bunny to plague you after such a good job. :-D

Thank you. I like attempting to figure out how Michael would react to a given situation and his internal dialogue is usually, for me, the most interesting part of the show. I'm glad it rang true. There are aspects of Michael's personality that are hard to swallow, which I think makes him more interesting. He's a manipulator and most think its awesome and great when he's doing it to the bad guys, but we know he's done it to the not so bad (IE Fiona) and I wanted to showcase that with this story. Thank you for taking the time to review!
Michael is a jack as. Makes Riley and Parker seem like decent guys. Hope Buffy feeds him to a demon.

Depends on your point of view where Michael's concerned I suppose. Though I will admit that Riley was better, mostly because I *liked* Riley, but I think Parker is stretching it a bit. Parker seduced Buffy because he could and she would be another notch on his bed posted. Michael's doing it because he believes he's doing it for the right cause. Both are in the wrong, but I'm more willing to forgive Michael then Parker.
