Extremely well written, well formed characters, despite the brevity. I hate when people ask me to expand stories, but this one cries out for a sequel of some sort, even if it's also a short vignette. You're great at creating a universe of interactions and connections without lots and lots of extraneous words. I like that in a writer.
I don't read much femmeslash because much of it is very poorly done and sappy and unbelievable. This was none of those things.
Peace,
Blue
Of course, you're aware that DC now has gay marriage, so depending on when you've set this, they could actually get married, after all, NCIS HQ (Navy Yard) is in DC.

Adorable and perfect. I love Gibbs, and I love this little picture of a universe where he gets to have a daughter. I don't usually like shorter stories, but that's because they don't usually do what you did here- you painted a perfect image using only what was absolutely necessary. With these thousand or so words, you gave us their past, their present, and a tiny hint of their future.
That's not to say I wouldn't love to see more, of course ;)

Very nice! Your characterization was perfect and I liked the interaction between Dawn and Jethro. I hope this is just the start as your story has oodles of potential.
Great! Is it childish of me to say that I really really really really really liked it? I mean part of it is because I'm always fond of well written femslash even when it's not graphic. :) But also because it just seems to fit. I hope you write more in this verse...heck you could just write stories with Kelly Gibbs and I'd be happy. Of course Kelly Gibbs/Dawn stories result in triple happiness. :)
I liked that Jethro 'knew' without being told and that he still threatened Dawnie as if she were a male sniffing around his daughter. It was both respectful and disrespectful in the same moment, which is very Gibbs. An interesting what if around the type of person Kelly would have grown up to be and I'm very happy to see such a close relationship between Abby and her. It was sweet.
**Edit: Apparently Jethro became a woman while my back was turned and I sent this review originally. Craziness.
