Okay, this is really intriguing! And hey, does this mean maybe Fred doesn't become Illyria? (Or only that Wes won't require Illyria's ability to sense altered memories, now that Lindsey's clued him in?)

Speaking of which, the idea that Lindsey's magical protections might have made him immune to the memory alteration spell makes a lot of sense. Nice one.
