Review of chapter "First Contact" from Rich
This is an interesting idea, and a new one (which is pretty rare these days). There is, however, a small technical problem; an unprotected body in space would be subject to explosive decompression, which is just what it sounds like - the lack of atmospheric pressure in space would cause the body to blow up like a balloon, which would almost certainly be fatal and is the main reason why astronauts wear space suits ( the lack of oxygen could be dealt with by wearing something like a scuba rig ). Of course, a Slayer might be more resistant to this effect, although I can't think of any reason why she should be.
Comments from author:
Actually, that's a popular misconception. The 'explosive' part of explosive decompression when going from 1 to 0atm is more likely to damage your lungs than anything else as all the gas in them exits extremely rapidly. The research indicates that human skin can withstand a 1atm pressure drop. Unless your clothes are very loose fitting or poorly made, chances are they will prevent swelling, which isn't instantaneous or excessive in any case. Extreme cold and hypoxia/anoxia, which is what Faith was suffering, is what would kill you if you went into space without a spacesuit. If by some freak of chance you find yourself outside the space station without a suit, you're not going to blow up like a balloon, and you will likely suffocate before you have time to worry about the bends. Fortunately, the whole thing goes very quickly, more so than what I've written. You'd be unconscious in less than half a minute, possibly as quick as ten seconds. (I'm not going to give my credentials or anything, but I will say that if you don't believe me because I'm a random, anonymous person on the internet, go poke around the NASA websites- I'm sure this is addressed on one of their Q&A pages somewhere, possibly even with links to the research from the early days of the space program or even the work to develop next gen spacesuits now.)

Review of chapter "First Contact" from Gideon
Nice work. Not often will Faith allow herself to be rescued but I guess being lost in outer space may qualify. When I think of someone from the Buffyverse making friends with the natives I don't think of Faith but you sold it really well.
Comments from author:
Thanks! Faith wasn't really in a position to argue about the rescuing this time...

Review of chapter "First Contact" from (Past Donor)chrysanne
This is totally COOL!!!! Way interesting, and though it says it's complete, I'm sorta hoping that there'll be a sequel of sorts. Go Ayel!!
Comments from author:
Thanks! There will be more if I ever have time to write it. There's a reason Ayel wasn't happy about destroying Earth...

Definitely an unusual rescue.
It would be interesting to see how Faith and the Romulans interact with each other. More please.

This is a scenario I haven't come across before in BtVS/Trek crossovers, and the idea of Faith among the Romulans is irresistible.

More, please?
Comments from author:
Faith among the Romulans popped into my head when I was casting about for ideas for tthdrabbles. As it wasn't just a quick little one-off sort of idea, I think it's safe to say that more will be forthcoming. The only real question is when and how much.
