An interesting and original story. I didn't know the cross, but it was easy to follow.
It was a different sort of crossover then usual, but dispite the changes the characters were recognisable enough. I've seen someone on a forum once do a similar Buffy in the WildWest story (only with people from the board trown in), so it also game me a feeling of nostalgia.
I'm not generally fond of fusions, but I did very much enjoy this one. You're right about the ending, though. I'm afraid abrupt doesn't begin to cover it and I'm left feeling very curious as to exactly what went on that made Gil and Rowdy so eager to leave the group and exactly why Rowdy was so gaunt.
Thank you for sharing this, regardless of the questions that the ending raised.
Oh my Gawd, first the deadly Buffy and her traveling circus that does not include her mother, Gil Favor shows so much class and style that I am at a loss, first laughter then charmed and then a real Louis L'amour vibe, Taking off his hat and then wave,Wow!
Glad to see that you are still at it. I waited to review because I did not read the first chapter, I should have. Gil Favor is a character worth keeping up with I think he was John Wayne and Paladin rolled into one. But without JW's histrionics and Paladins flashy gun play. A man to have taking care of business without all the noise.Faith is in her element here without the goody-goodiness holding her back. Willow and Tara; can't wait to see 'em chiming in. The "red Man", geez did'ja take that rock examination scene right out of Bob Hope and Don Knott's playbook? It was funny and was balanced by the negotiation scene right after. Looking forward to more.

Thanks. Oh, by the way:
"Larry."
Plus, regarding the Indian medicine man, try to take a look at the photo of an actor who had a role on a certain tv show until his character met up with an extremely large reptile.
A regular for my chin on fists TV pasttime as a young lad watching this series was seeing how superior Rowdy Yates expression was throughout each successive episode spiced with disgust, dismay and the "killer" look he used when facing down trouble. Few things are better than this. Astonishment is a new one.

Thank God, a review. I thought maybe this story had caused a "Videodrome" situation and made people's heads explode. (I'd be kinda proud of that, really).
Glad to know you liked it. If you enjoyed Rowdy's expression of disgust, here's a hint: Picture what he's gonna look like at the start of Chapter Five.
